Friendly and cheap (for sweden) one of the best places i've been to on the trip. stayed here four nights and loved it. it's too pricey to go out drinking in scandinavia so everyone just sits in the courtyard and does it. it's also close to the station and very clean. has free internet too! — TJC , Canada (2008-07-29)

Good I stayed here Sept. 2006. clean. lockers. free internet. good showers. close to train. have to take your shoes off in this hostel. guy at reception was rude. — kevin , canada (2008-05-03)

Great Hostel Nice facilities -- Friendly, helpful staff. Great place to meet people. Great location in a great city! I've stayed at a ton of hostels and this one is on my favorite list. — Brandon , USA (2008-04-10)

Overall this hostel was pretty good. The good points were that it had free pasta, was close walking distance from the train station, had free internet and a cappuccino machine, which was really really cool and unheard of for a hostel. The bad points were that it was kinda institutional and the downstairs rooms didn't have windows. There are upstairs rooms which I'd recommend if you stay here. If you are claustrophobic or really scared of being trapped in a fire the downstairs simply wouldn't work for you. Stockholm is a great city. — Joan , USA (2007-05-20)

it was really a nice hostel, with nice and helpful staff. and not to forget, the sauna, coffee/tee/cappuccino, pasta, internet -- for free! it was really nice staying there but there were a lot of stupid travelers who don't know how to shut a door and walk stairs quietly and were sitting all day long at the computers -- so that other people couldn't use the internet. but nevertheless i would really recommend this hostel -- especially the location. it is right in the city center so you can reach everything by walking around. stockholm is a really nice city, even in winter. — ivka and walid (2007-02-11)

Would recommend this hostel to people with low-mid expectations. It definitely has some awesome things going for it, free internet, free coffee/drink machine/free pasta, pretty cheap laundry, great location. However, there were definite minuses, not enough bathrooms/showers for everyone -- we were here in the 'slow' season too, staff didn't seem too friendly in terms of helping with directions/sightseeing, and I'm certain they also had bedbugs. Coincidentally the day we were leaving they were installing all new mattresses. The place is showing its age for sure, and taking your shoes off was annoying -- I get why but hated stepping through the door and there is little room so you were always in someone's way removing/putting on your shoes. Overall, glad we only stayed for a short visit, I couldn't take this place for more than two nights. But do try the cappucino from the machine, oooh boy it's great. — Tina (2006-12-05)

i was here in august, the staff were most friendly, and the facilities were awesome, there were eight free computers, a free sauna in the morning (until 9 a.m.), free pasta, clean kitchen. It was one the of the nicest hostels i have ever been to. There is a pretty courtyard, which is a excellent place to chill out. The hostel is situated about five hundred yards left of the train station, do not get a taxi from the station, as soon as you leave the main entrance at the station, walk five hundred yards left, you'll come to Burger King, and a pretty park, the hostel is just beyond the park and Burger King. i recommend you stay here -- quality! and we english are not easy to please! — sam toofany (2006-12-04)

I stayed here for two nights in September 2006. Location is excellent and it's very easy to find. Hostel was clean and comfortable. The large lounge and dining areas are very good and the free internet is a definite bonus. The hostel is reasonably well kept, but it is starting to show a little wear and tear. There are not enough toilets and showers though. It felt a little institutional, but you often get that with the better run hostels. Bring your own padlock for your locker, and not a small one -- medium sized at least -- small ones won't fit through the lock! — Bazz (2006-09-22)

One of the nicer hostels I stayed in in Europe. The free pasta free internet and free coffee were very welcome, and the common areas are comfy. Security is good, each room has a separate code on the door. Location's spot on, only a few minutes walk into central Stockholm. The only downsides are you have to take your shoes off when you go in (slightly annoying), and that the kitchen is far too small for the size of the hostel. — olipom (2006-08-12)

The best hostel I have stayed at with perfect location. Stockholm is a great city and this hostel is icing on the cake. There are lots of areas where you can chill and meet people. And you can drink in the outside area. I wish I didn't leave. — Art (2006-06-20)

Wow! One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Clean, friendly staff, free use of about eight computers, great location. Stay here. — Alex (2006-05-30)

I stayed at this hostel for a week. Good security, the code on the door is changed daily. There is a kitchen, but it has only one oven, which can make cooking interesting when it comes to dinner time and everyone wants to cook the free pasta. Speaking of which, there is free pasta, six computers for free internet, and it's all good. The TV room has a good selection of English channels, and if you like foreign films each night one Swedish film is screned (with subtitles) and they are well done. The staff are super friendly and helpful, even with stupid questions. The beds were the average spring metal bunk beds -- they were alright, no problems with them. Just note the showers can be very friendly -- each shower is seperated by a frosted glass panel. — karlisineurope (2006-03-24)

We stayed here in September. Great hostel, once you find it (our own fault, we arrived late at night and forgot to bring a map; we only had written directions). Rooms were very clean, secure (each room had its own door code), had lockers (bring your own lock), and comfortable beds. Kitchen area was good, free pasta kept the crowds happy. (On more than one occasion I saw some guys tucking into a plate of plain pasta with no sauce.) The free Internet was great; they had six computers available, meaning you were able to get on the computer whenever you wanted. Bathrooms were clean and plentiful (although the showers only had curtains, no lockable doors). The only problem we had while we were there was the fact that the dryer wasn't working, so we couldn't do any washing. — Bobbi from Australia (2005-10-14)

I stayed at this hostel in February, and although it was freezing in Stockholm the hostel was one of the best places I stayed in, in the whole of Europe. It had very friendly staff and the facilities were top of the range. Thanks for an awesome time, guys! — Justin (2005-08-09)

Super cool!! I was there just last week. Free pasta, coffee, hot chocolate and internet!!! Especially...friendly and beautiful staff!! — Deang (2005-06-28)
