Very good option It is located in the Centre of Oslo, were we be able to go to pubs, shops, get the train. Staff were very nice and the room was very comfortable, all clean and cozy. Being a Portuguese Student-worker (nowadays i am in the military) i had not much money and this nice hotel was not expensive being an hotel in the centre of a North European Country Main City. It was a very good time!

Hotel Perminalen is centrally located wiithin easy walking distance of everthing. Not hard to achieve in Oslo, a city where you definitely don't need a travel pass. My four-bed dorm room with en-suite was clean and well maintained. It was very well appointed with allocated wardrobes and shelving, two desks, and a table! However, this is not a meeting people place unless you luck out with your dorm buddies or at breakfast. There is no bar and the lounge is little used. Breakfast is a buffet so you can gorge for the day if needed, even the salt fish is good. For 40 extra Krona you can build a lunch too.

Great place, great location, wonderful, filling breakfasts to start your day (you can skip lunch after this breakfast!) Clean, roomy, lots of public spaces...common rooms, etc.

It's a great location, with a nice breakfast and clean rooms. The staff are also very helpful. I would certainly go back.

I stayed at Perminalen for five days. They cleaned the room every day, and the breakfast was a really great start on the day. There were smiling and helpful staff in the reception. The nice guy working the night shift was very helpful and kind. I recommend this hotel to everyone, though Norway is a very expensive country.

I recently stayed two nights at this hotel/hostel. I found the place very clean. It is located very near the center of tourism. It has easy access to the bus, train and ferry systems. Many tourist attractions are within walking distance. And most important to me, the staff were extremely helpful with any question or request. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
