Description
Aveiro Rossio Hostel is a centenary classic house ideally located in the middle center of Aveiro (Praça do Rossio).
Rossio area is the principal day spot of Aveiro, a small city between Oporto (80 kms) and Lisbon (250 kms) served by train and bus and located in the Atlantic coast. Is bathed from several channels and is known as Venice of Portugal. Here you can find the regional typical boats Moliceiro and Mercantel for a sight seeing around the chanels of Aveiro, you can take a walking tour through the streets of Bairro da Beira Mar or you can take one of BUGA's (Aveiro Free Urban Bikes) and lost yourself in Aveiro, taking a couple of hours to lunch a fresh grilled fish in one of the mediterranean cocking restaurants around.
At the same time, this area is also the night spot of Aveiro, where you can find the best restaurants and bares of the city. So, if you are looking for party, you just need to walk a few meters. Our house is very funny but in a quite calm street, that's why our location is spotless for everyone. If you want to rest in a relaxed environment, you can stay at home reading a book or just experiencing a good talk; and if you prefer to take some beers or caipirinhas, you just need to walk a few meters to find the next bar...
We invite our fellow travellers to enjoy our house. The living room is a relaxed area to take a book or share a trip experience with us or other traveller, as well, a place to see a movie or play some group games.
Aveiro Rossio Hostel has a well equipped kitchen with dishwasher and where the breakfast is served - our free breakfast is a light portuguese (european) one.
We also have a patio and a small terrace to enjoy the stars during the night or take some sun during the day. Here you can find a barbecue for guests use also.
If you are by your own or travelling in a group ask us about the large number of activities you can try in and around the town: Surf and Bodyboard school; Kyte and Wind Surf school; Sailboat experiences; Bird watching; Kayak experiences; Jeep experiences; Beach volleyball and beach football games during summer time; BBQ nights; Cook lessons; Yoga; ...
At the end of the day, retire to your bedroom located on separate floors for a quiet and restful night. The options are endless.
If you are on a van trip, park-up nearby and use the kitchen/showers for a reduced rate.

Very cute hostel, nice design of the rooms, absolutely clean and well organized. I have stayed in the 8 bed dorm in the attic, I think this was my first time in a hostel that I was not sleeping on a bunk bed but a normal bed :) This dorm was very cozy. Also, the hostel is in the very center of the town, 5-10 min walk and one can get everywhere.

The decoration was awesome!! We absolutely loved the atmosphere of the hostel, and the staff was extra nice. The breakfast was very good (ham, cheese, coffee, juice, milk, tea, croissants, marmalade, bread....) and the hostel is really close to the channels and the city centre.

Nice-looking hostel. Good blend of the modern functionality with some old furniture here and there. The small Portuguese apples and other fruit from the owner's father's farm, which are at our disposal, are delicious.Best of all is the staff. I liked them very much.

Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff. very clean, convinient and modern facilities in a renovated house. Not too many bathrooms and lacks a big enough patio for smoking, chatting or whatever in summer. To sum up, definitely a place to stay.
