Trotamundos Hostel Reviews on Other Websites
4 cool, quite close to the city, we did have a private bathroom and the towels and linen was included as well as breakfast + wifi in the room (our at least)   — Customer review (2010-10-13) Hostelbookers
3 Nice atmosphere   — Customer review (2010-10-11) Hostelbookers
4 Nice owner, pretty nice rooms, average cleanliness, pretty good value. Breakfast was just bread with dulce de leche in a jar and plum marmalade with orange tang or coffee.   — Customer review (2010-05-18) Hostelbookers
4 Was a cool place to stay and hang out. really relax. The staff were friendly and helpful and always smiling. Location is excellent, right next to all the dining places and some nice plaza´s. ill give it 3.5 spuds out of 5   — sam rasheed (2010-04-12) Hostelbookers
2 When you arrive in a hostel like this, all you want to do is get back on the aeroplane and go home! Trotamundos is one of the worst hostels I have ever stayed in. The bathrooms were absolutely filthy, the kitchen was a mess and all the rooms were located around a noisy social space, which made for a very bad night's sleep. The staff were rude, grumpy and unhelpful. Worst of all was our bedroom - terrible matresses, no airconditioning or outside window, and very little insulation from the noise in the living room (which went on very late into the night).   — Stuart Cooke (2010-03-05) Hostelbookers
2 location - location only   — Customer review (2010-03-01) Hostelbookers
3 The location is good and the staff friendly. But if you are looking for a place where bathrooms are provided with toilet paper, where all rooms have got windows (fresh air) and with an acceptable breakfast, this is not the hostel to book. The patio behind the house sounds more nicely than it really is, too.   — Customer review (2010-01-13) Hostelbookers
4 location, staff   — Customer review (2009-12-22) Hostelbookers
5 We felt very at home here. The place has a great atmosphere. The staff are friendly and hardworking but always up for a drink on the patio. Location is awesome - just a few minutes from the main square. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Mendoza.   — Customer review (2009-12-10) Hostelbookers
3 Not a good place to stay at all. People that were not even staying there ie friends of the people working there were always around.. very strange! The bathrooms were average and not too clean.. but it was ok and close to bars and the main part of town oh and they do not offer any excursions like they say they will..   — jane cullen (2009-10-08) Hostelbookers
3 it was a standard hostel, there weren´t that many people staying so I had aroom to myself which was nice.   — Customer review (2009-09-30) Hostelbookers
2 This place was dirty and the staff, although superficially nice, was completely unhelpful in helping us figure out our excursions. Erika is really nice but there is something weird about this place...when we came back at night, there were a bunch of shady people hanging out who were not staying at the hostel...   — Customer review (2009-09-29) Hostelbookers
4 Location is awesome and the staff are really friendly but they dont speak English. Still needs some work but has lots of potential.   — Customer review (2009-09-21) Hostelbookers
5 Mendoza is awesome but Trotamondos Hostel makes it even better. Staff are great, location is great. What else could you ask for.   — Angelo Bourtsouklis (2009-09-10) Hostelbookers
5 The staff was friendly   — Customer review (2009-08-30) Hostelbookers
4 Cool hostel. Would recommend it to everyone. Staff were really friendly (and spoke English!) - they took care of all the activities I wanted to do in and around Mendoza such as visit Alta Montana, the wineries and a day at the snow. Saturday night they threw a big party which was the perfect way to kick off an all night bender in a very cool town. I even got breakfast in bed the next day when they realised how hungover I was.¨   — Benjamin Butlin (2009-08-19) Hostelbookers
5 I booked this hostel at the last minute without knowing anything about it, so I prepared myself for the worst, but Trotamundos turned out to be a wonderful hostel. The staff was extremely helpful and accomodating, going above and beyond the norm to not only help me with my plans but also to make me feel welcome and at home. The hostel was in general clean and in great shape, with a very comfortable living room, a kitchen, and a great patio. The bathrooms were also clean and well maintained. The dorms were neat and had big lockers for bags that are locked with a padlock. During my stay (Saturday night), the hostel put on a great asado barbeque for a great price. Trotamundos has everything you can want in a hostel, and for the price it is definitely a great deal. I would certainly come back here again and again. During my visit to Mendoza I bounced around to a few different hostels as it was a very crowded weekend, and I have to say Trotamundos was easily my favorite.   — Customer review (2009-08-16) Hostelbookers
3 Nothing..   — Customer review (2009-08-11) Hostelbookers
5 This place is in a great location in the city centre. The staff were great - very friendly (and english spoken!). I was able to get some really cheap activities (some were actually cheaper than other people paid through the operators direct). It is nice and relaxed during the week but came alive on the weekend where they put on a big Asado (bbq) and drinks. Cool place to meet not just gringo travellers aswell. Lots of South American people there.   — Tom Butlin (2009-08-07) Hostelbookers
5 The owners Jime and Juan make you feel at home, and all the staff are very helpful. Upon arriving they asked what I wanted to do in Mendoza and they took care of bookings for a ski trip and winery tour. Great location, near to the city centre and the park. They even cooked an asado for everyone on the Friday night! I planned on staying 2 nights and ended up staying 5, and made some good friends too!   — Sam Bearman (2009-07-13) Hostelbookers
