Hostal Providencia is located right in the heart of Santiago, 3 blocks away from Plaza Italia (Baquedano subway station). We are at walking distance from some of the coolest and most visited places in the capital: barrio Bellavista, Parque Forestal, Cerro Santa Lucía, barrio Providencia…
Our place is safe and clean and our staff is truly like a friendly and engaging family who you can talk to and inquire over where to go have fun and learn about the city (being surrounded by such places, we know and enjoy visiting them ourselves…).
You can share drinks, dinner and movies in the living room or the more secluded patio; the kitchen is available 24-7 and so are the common spaces (which have wi-fi).
All sorts of rooms are available (from individual ones with private bathroom and cable TV to shared dorms with bed-assigned lockers) and we are truly happy to have people from all around this amazing planet visit us, share their stories and exchange knowledge.
So… come and have a good taste of Santiago's diverse levels of recreational fun by staying with us right in it's very heart!

Good convenient location, close to metro station and only 10min walk across bridge to great dinner and drinks area ´Belavista´. Friendly, helpful staff and secure buiding.

We liked the location very much, and the room we stayed in, was very nice, but we have a few comments. With narrow ceilings, it was very noisy. And there was a big private bbq, with a lot of people and a lot of noise. The other guests couln´t use the facilities offered.

Location was great. Staff were VERY helpful. But just an average hostel, average clean, bathrooms small and cramped (the shared ones on the second floor that is). Beds were clean and we slept very well.

Very friendly staff and lots of info for travellers. I had read the reviews about the lack of electrical outlets in the rooms, but we had one in our double room (#10). Be sure to ask where all the bathrooms are; they're very poorly marked, and it turned out the one closest to our room was behind a door marked "Authorized Personnel Only."

the rooms were fine - considering the price I was expecting worse... a pleasant surprise! The staff I met were really friendly and helpful and gave me a lot of good advice about where to go and what to do. I don´t think I could find better value for money, very satisifed :)
