The Hostelz.com Review
From the moment you enter the reception at Five Elements Hostel, you know that you will enjoy your stay! This newly renovated eight floor building has a great atmosphere and will be the type of place that you will return to each time you are in Frankfurt!

The basement has a luggage room for guests to store extra luggage or that arrive outside booking hours will have a pool/billiard room, the ground floor has a common room and reception The next six floors are bedrooms and bathrooms, but there is an elevator/lift!

The Location

Don't worry about arriving late or needing to go through the red light district at night. It is only a couple of minutes' walk from the main Frankfurt station and it is well lit and safe. The main Frankfurt station is just a short ride from the International Airport.

Rooms and Bathrooms

All the rooms have been renovated, including the bedrooms and bathrooms. Each bed has its own individual reading light and extra power socket for laptop. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the complex. Bathrooms are clean and well maintained with loads of hot water any time of the day and night. Each floor has several showers and WC/toilet/bathrooms, with basins, hooks, shelves.

Common Spaces

Most guests hang out in the main common area on the ground floor. It is a relaxing place to sit around on the lounge chairs with your laptop, or to use one belonging to the hostel. Guests mingle around the many tables chatting after breakfast. This is buffet style with croissants, toast, coffee, tea, buns, meat, cheese, or choice of spreads. People tend to stay long after they have had breakfast, just meeting other backpackers or browsing through the book exchange. The reception also doubles as a bar where a variety of drinks are served, it becomes just as social at night.

Summary

This is not just great value for Europe, but one of the best hostels around.

5 One of the best hostel I have stayed
This hostel is newly renovated. Room and the shared bathroom is very clean. There's enough space in the room. Locker in the dorm is big enough to lock up my suitcase. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Good location as it's very close to central station. Common room is lovely and the price of the drink and the food is reasonable. I feel very relaxed to have a drink and web surf in the common room at night But located at red light district, so I don't feel quite safe moving around the neighborhood at night. Not many nice restaurants and bars nearby (but that doesn't quite matter to me).
