All round great hostel
Very nice hostel with clean, modern, and fresh feeling inside. Nice location right by the harbour with lots of food places and shopping locations nearby. The staff were very friendly and happy to help direct us to where in Bristol we wanted to be, and even pointed us in the right direction of other things to do in Bristol. The atmosphere of the hostel was nice and relaxed.
Great location, laid-back staff, but cleanliness could be improved
This hostel felt high-traffic even though it was off season. The bathrooms were always wet and dirty, and Internet was not free. It had good common spaces, although the rooms of four were quite tight. May stay again, but would also look around for other options.

Excellent facilities apart from the bathrooms, really awful. amazing location, good value for money. staff not really helpful but I guess they are very busy as the hostel is big and plenty of travelers stop by there.
Appalling Hostel -- Be warned!!!!!!!
I stayed in this YHA for about 6 weeks and I spent a lot of time in it subsequently after that as well. In the time I knew it there was at least one major outbreak of bedbugs. There was more than one theft of someones personal belongings which the hostel did nothing about and basically told the victim it was their own fault. I also know that the way this hostel treats its staff is utterly disgraceful and know of at least two people who have been wrongfully dismissed from it. I know one person who is currently taking them to court for a number of reasons and expects to sue them successfully. There is no parking which is a nightmare for most people. It is extremely expensive and you can expect to pay up to 12 for internet usage. Take my advice -- look elsewhere.
Amazing location, bang in the middle of town with a great view if you're lucky (which we were). Excellent facilities. One of the best breakfasts i've had at a hostel as well. The staff were pretty helpful. All in all the best hostel in bristol for sure.
Excellent place. Used to be quite grotty, but now its great. The service and cleanliness is good, and for a low price too.
This is an absolutely excellent hostel! It has a great bar, Internet, it's very clean, has lovely little rooms with sloping roofs, and a brilliant location (right on the canal, and near the center). I cannot fault anything! Stay there!!!
