Well maintained with good facilities.
One of the best hostels in all of Australia
The biggest kitchen I've ever seen in a hostel next to the biggest lounge I've ever seen in a hostel. Great way to mix with the others. Also hostel-organized stuff like Pizza Night, Games Night to meet the other people in the hostel. Very clean. Great staff! Great people! TV-Room separate from the lounge, so people who want to watch something don't get bothered by people in the lounge and vice versa. Also a study room on the second floor, in case you have to work or study without getting distracted. Also close to the bus station. Best hostel I've been to! Made some great friends!
Great hostel, clean, big rooms, fantastic social areas.
This is a nice hostel, it's pretty big but not at all unwelcoming. The kitchen was big and had plenty of plates, pans and there were lots of fridges, which we didn't find everywhere. There is a great common room and a laundry. The staff were all pleasant -- this was our first stop in Oz and we set the bar by it. We had a double room, which was clean and had a large locker. There were computers downstairs in the lobby. All in all everything we needed and a good central location.
The best inexpensive place to stay with family in Adelaide!
I and my two teenage children had reserved a room for three at this hostel during a stop while on the excellent eight-day Wayward Bus Tour (led by the incomparable Greg!) from Alice to Adelaide. So when we showed up, it was heaven to not cope with trying to find accommodations, as we had a fortnight earlier in Darwin. The reception was so helpful in giving us directions about activities and location of the train station. I only wish we had had more time to take advantage of this marvelous area! The quarters were very high quality, as was the entire establishment, exceptionally clean and safe.
One of the best hostels in Oz!
Close to everything you need, especially the amazing Adelaide Central Markets! The lounge area with the huge kitchen is almost too good to be true, enough dishes for everyone to cook up a storm and lots of space! You may regret it if you go to Adelaide and don't stay there!
The biggest problem was the staff who isn't YHA like. They're are rude. I know that a nightshift isn't a nice present but that's not the fault of the guests. So they guy there should be not that rude! The facilities are great, the hang around area at the first floor is just awesome. Price is alright but Adelaide sucks!
I was impressed with the quality of the kitchens and eating area, also the showers were the best I have seen in a hostel or backpackers. I would gladly stay at this hostel again in the future. it has been a good experience, especially after having stayed in some other local backpackers. parking facilities were good and affordable.
