Excellent to massively excellent
My family stayed in the cottage at the back, complete with an outside bath. Four of us fit into the bath and looked up to the skies, before the morning brought us views of sheep on near vertical hillsides, and wonderful local walking. It's a trek to get to, but that makes it more the better!
Remote and Idealic location with warm and friendly reception
My choice to stay at The Innlet was random and was one of my best surprises on my trip in NZ to date. The location is quite remote but provides lots of opportunities to see a very beautiful part of NZ. Some of the hikes that you can take, you would think you are the last person on the planet. Peace and tranquility. The hostel is an old house and a number of cottages. The rooms are very spacious and very comfortable common areas for cooking, dining and relaxing. An ideal location from which to see the most northern tip of the South Island. The hostel management was friendly and always available if needed -- lots of good ideas for excursions. Would love to return in the future.
