The hostel staff, Nick helped me with my tour booking. He drove me to the tour agency, which is 25 min away and got a 15% disc for my tour. As i have to catch a late flight back, I was given an extension of half day stay without charge. Guests there were very friendly. I feel so much at home there.
Bugs in every rooms, Herman the receptionist takes drugs
I have stayed quite long at the Ozzi inn Backpackers. the main problem is with the bugs -- almost every rooms has bugs. Herman the receptionist himself were under the influence of marijuana almost everyday. People were very drunk and were taking drugs, noisy. My suggestion is that this place will suit for people who like taking drugs. I am being absolutely honest here this backpacker won't suit for normal people.

I stayed here a while back and loved it, great atmosphere, very friendly and Rod the owner was a great help and all-round nice guy. Will be back.
Dodgy crap hole but cheap
Paid for double room, but it had been double booked. Ended up in a dorm room paying the same amount as the double room. Very dirty and dusty rooms, not vacuumed.
The Ozi Inn 'Darkside' is certainly an experience. even at $88 this seems expensive when you don't have basic facilities. But the saving grace to this diamond in the rough are the staff. Rod and Luke, who own and manage the place, are absolute sweethearts. Luke's the receptionist; always prancing round reception -- he cant do enough for you, and Rod's the manly one, always out building his wall. their affection and obvious devotion to each other makes the Ozi Inn the warmest, loving, and gay-friendly backpackers i've ever stayed in.
This was the first hostel in Australia I went to. I was meant to be there for five days and stayed for six weeks! I had the time of my life. Such a great atmosphere, it is such fun. Lots of people live there and work- by the time they get to Perth they are out of money. It is one of my favorite backpacking memories. It looks a little shabby, but trust me it is great. I would recommend it to anyone, and I would definitely go back.
It looks a bit shabby, especially the non-air-conditioned "dark side"(small, cozy and more like a share-house). And the bathrooms aren't the best, but it doesn't matter!! The rooms are good, the location is excellent, the price is right and it is also the most fun you could ever have!! Cheap nights out to local clubs are arranged and it has a really friendly atmosphere. You won't want to leave!
I stayed in this hostel and had the time of my life. The boys from Burnly, Ferg and Co., Nicola, Claire, Vicky, Zoe and everyone there was like a best mate. I will return to the Ozi Inn any time. Stay there, it is cool.
