I love it!
For a Cape Cod hostel, it is the most cosmopolitan.
I always get to talk to cool people from all over that are friendly and get great ideas on what to see in the area I had not heard of. It is a typical hostel amenities like food storage, breakfast, a bed with sheets and bathrooms. I like that once I check in, I can come and go as I please.
Ridiculous people who cannot comply with check in times are hard to listen to. I have been late to a bunch of these and called ahead of being late to tell them I had an issue and had zero problems. I think so far I have stayed in 2 of three of the buildings.
I love hiking, biking and going to museums during the day and going to the beaches after 5 pm when they are free.
This hostel is in walking distance to Hyline Sport Fishing, a museum, ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket, and a bunch of beaches. You can even have a bonfire on the weekend.
Poor customer service!
We booked the family cottage at this joke of a place for our family to stay on Saturday night. After getting stuck in 5 hours of traffic with poor phone signal we arrived after the office was closed. There was no other place for us to stay with our two children and we had to sleep in our rental car on the side of the road. We still got charged for the room because they said we didn't show up. No where on the reservation did it indicate that you could not check in after office hours. It specifically said check in after 16:00 but not before a closing time. The conditions of the booking also never indicated that late arrival was not an option. In my dealings with other small places to stay, they leave a phone number or instructions on how to check in after hours. How pathetic that they are so desperate for money that they would charge a family because of conditions that were out of our control. I would never recommend this place to any, especially a family! Poor customer service!
