Sleepy Station Phuket Kata Beach is a beautiful little nest for those who want to enjoy a modern and hip base with daily events and an amazing garden area.
The Location
Sleepy Station is located at the very end of a quiet, dead-end side street close to the middle section of Kata Beach. It is in a great location, because while it is quiet enough with lots of unused space around it, there are hardly any neighbours to complain when events are held at the hostel. Everything that is worth reaching in Kata is in walking distance from here, and in less than two minutes, you will find plenty of supermarkets and restaurants.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The hostel has a huge number of rooms on two stories and they do fill up pretty quickly, so book in advance to avoid disappointment! The beds are capsule-style bunks that come with their own curtains, bedside lamps, and electronic plugs. However, it is extremely hard to find space to store your bags near your bed, as there is very little room between the beds and the wall on the opposite side. The dorms are cooled by air conditioning, but it gets the temperature down to freezing degrees. The only blanket provided is actually a sheet made of towel material, and additional blankets are not available even upon payment! The rooms are en suite but there is only one bathroom per dorm, which in the case of the ten-bed dorm is definitely not enough and is the cause of long queues in the mornings!
Common Spaces
If you like to chill around, then this is the place for you! There are so many different areas for socialisation that you will definitely be spoilt with choices! There is a huge outdoors area with bamboo pagodas, a swinging bed, and a cute little pond. When the fairy lights are turned on during the night, it turns into a truly magical place! Also outdoors, there is a garden bar and next to it, a mini gym with plenty of training equipment. Inside, there is a kitchen and movie area with comfy sofas and shelves full of books and a terrace with hip beanbags and futons. Almost every day of the week, a different event is organised here, so if you are lucky you will be here for a quiz night, karaoke, or garden party.
Summary
While the facilities are out of this world, customer service is of a surprisingly low standard and some of the staff are outright rude, so you may want to take this into consideration when deciding to book here.

• � Take a minibus to Kata Beach
• � Take Taxi or Tuk Tuk
• From Phuket Town :
• � Take a small open air bus (larger than a �song-thaew�) to Kata for 30 baht
• *Be Noted that these buses will initially pass Kata Beach and will make their first stop in Karon Beach, then they will wind back down to Kata and drop you near the beach
• *Also the last public transit bus from Kata Beach to Phuket Town departs at 16:40
