• Please note: No matter where you are coming from Casa Country is located at Finca Juliana. It is the original name of the finca and we provide a free shuttle service from Filandia daily.
• From Medellin-Pereira: If coming from Medellin-Pereira it is much faster and easier to arrive first to Alcala rather than Filandia. Just ask in the terminal for Alcala and then when you arrive in the town ask for the Jeep to Pavas. The jeep will pass in front of the hostel and you will see the sign for Casa Country. The cost is 2000 pesos. The last bus from Pereira to Alcala leaves at 7:30 pm and the last jeep from Alcala to Hostel leaves at 6:00 p.m.
• This is particularly important if arriving at night as the last Jeep that leaves from Filandia is at 5:00 pm so if you plan to arrive at night it is highly recommended to travel to Alcala. A taxi from Alcala to the hostel is 12000 pesos ask for Bosques Saman, the hostel is located just before this point.
• From Filandia: We run a free shuttle service daily from the main square.
• Please contact us before your arrival to secure a spot the day you arrive (6 hours before please). The ride is about 15 minutes, down a dirt road.
• In case you want to arrive at a different time or want to arrive on your own there are collective Jeeps that run every hour from the main square. Just look for the Willys parked on the corner just off the main square and tell them you want to go to Pavas. You will need to switch Jeeps momentarily in Pavas and continue towards Alcala, when you see Villa Juliana, just pass the Bosques Salman Canopy you will arrive. The total trip is about 9 kms and should cost about 4000 pesos (a little over 1$).
• Please note that we are not located within walking distance of Filandia, but there is public transportation that passes in front of the house that can easily bring you there and back. Jeeps pass every hour and are very economical.
