What a cute little gem Stanpoli Hostel turned out to be! This place is great if you want to get pampered while still staying on a budget.
The Location
Stanpoli Hostel is located on one of the smaller and quieter streets of the Old City, Sultanahmet. Nevertheless, the famous Blue Mosque, the Hagia Sophia, and many museums and tourist attractions are merely a short walk away. It is a great location for sightseeing, shopping, and dining out. You can reach the Asian side easily by train or ferry and the Ataturk Airport is very easily accessible by public transportation, or via a private shuttle the hostel can help arrange.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The rooms are so fancy, comfortable, and pampering. The beds are incredibly soft and comfortable. Each bed is equipped with a little shelf, a power outlet, and a reading light. There are large lockers for big backpacks under the beds, so that they will be out of the way. There are even curtains for privacy. The rooms look a bit like hotel rooms -- there is a large mirror, a table, and a closet for extra storage. They seem to have thought about everything.
If you think the rooms are the highlight, wait until you use the bathroom! The shower is convenient, spacious, and practical -- there's great water pressure, hot water, and even a towel warmer! What a treat. It's a shame most of the dorms are in the basement, so there are no windows and not much light, but it's not so bad if you don't spend all day in the room.
Common Spaces
There is a little lobby where you can hang out, check out the book exchange shelf, drink some apple tea and chat with the friendly receptionists. When you're done marveling at the beautiful carpets, you can head to the rooftop terrace, where you can get a glimpse at the Bosphorus and the Old City from above -- it's a great view! Breakfast is served up here, although it is not complimentary and we're not sure it's worth the cost, but it's an option. There is a kitchen on the top floor, but it's just for staff, so no cooking for us. The Wi-Fi works everywhere and it's one of the best and fastest we've seen around town.
Summary
Stanpoli Hostel is a great place to stay, especially if you like being comfortable. The location is great, the staff are friendly, and you get a great value for your money!

• We do have 24 hours airport pick up service from Ä°stanbul and Sabiha Gokcen Airport for our guests but it has an extra fee.
• From istanbul Airport, pick up service is
• 40 Euros one way up to 4 people.
• From Sabiha Gokcen Airport, pick service is
• 45 Euros one way up to 4 people.
• If you desire the private pick up service, we will need to know your flight details (arrival time, the name of the airport and the flight number)
• By Public Transportation From Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW):
• Take HAVAÅž bus till Taksim
• Best way from Taksim to the hotel is to take a taxi.
• Otherwise You will have to take tram till KABATAÅž and from there another one till Sultanahmet.
• After yo come to SULTANAHMET station, just walk to the BLUEMOSQUE (you will see it easly)
• When you come to the front of the mosque, ask anybody on the street for ARASTA BAZAAR.
• It is just a few meters from the mosque. Enter the bazaar and walk till the end of it (it lasts only one minute)
• Get out of the bazaar and a few meters later take the first turning on the left and the first turning on the right.
• You will see the hostel in that small street.
