Old, dirty, very noisy, needs urgent refurbishment

The lodge itself needs urgent renovation. We were accommodated in an outbuilding with bathrooms on the corridor. Room was not clean, one lamp broken, TV not working, remote control not working, small basin in the room, only very hot water or cold, NO room service in six days, no fresh towels. Beds were very old and used, mattresses you could be feeling each metal spring, room in very poor condition. Not attached cables hanging around. Electrical outlets dangle -- NOT safe. Bathrooms -- I shower didnt work at all, other only extreme hot water or icy cold (showering extremely difficult), toilets sometimes dirty. All bathrooms in poor condition, need renovation. Planes are taking off very close over the "lodge". Extreme noise as planes use full power. When you are lucky they approach from hotel side or use other runway of near Heathrow airport for take off. Sleeping between 6am and 3pm (runway change) or 3pm to 11 pm is impossible. All in all, very poor. Normally state authority should check and shut down location immediately. Some good things: airport shuttle free of charge, good location near to the Terminals, bus stop is very close (bus No. 423), reception with friendly and helpful persons.

HEATHROW LODGE is the tops of the world. It's highly recommended for top class budget accommodation. Very relaxing; the staff are lovely, wonderful, helpful human people.
