A lot of flaws on the 3 month surf instructor course, do not book here
The 12 week surf instructor course is as a matter of fact, a 8.5 week guided free surf, 2 days of lifeguarding, 2.5 days ISA, 20 hours of surfcoaching to do yourself and 1.5 weeks of different fun trips. In the 8.5 weeks, there is a weekly video analysis, but that's about all the coaching you'll get. The instructors for this course are not capable of doing the job to get you at your highest potential in 3 months. You will improve, but mainly from your own input. They have a very lame and unprofessional attitude. You will get 2 coaches, 1 of them is a great surfer but the worst instructor I have come across, and also has a proper language barrier. The other coach is a friendly girl but doesn't have the experience and confidence yet. Our coach gets frustrated and has shouted at many of us when he couldn't explain the technique properly. When you let them know or complain about the situation, things will only get worse. No contact with our coach at all after speaking about things. Even the owner of the company, James, will tell you that you are wrong, no matter what, eventhough he only visited us once in 12 weeks.
Although, the level and professionalism of the ISA and lifeguarding days with Nick and George, are great. The whole course should have matched this level, but it is completely incomparable. We were given knowledge that will undoubtedly help us to improve as individual surfers, along with a clear understanding on how to coach. Unfortunately, these lessons were delivered at the very end of our stay. The owner of the company has told us that people are not capable of taking two days of information in, at the beginning of the course. No one would agree with this.
Accommodation is quite decent, simple and spacious.
Food is 6 different, not very appetizing and variated meals and that for 3 full months. To be honest, 3 out of 6 meals are alright and some even a bit tasty.
The lunches are quite often changed to white baguettes with dry chicken because the original option is not appetizing.
Breakfast is a joke, lots of sugar and no-nutritious substances.
Another thing to consider, even for a weekly visit, you'll get sick, Moroccan belly. It is a dirty place and the sewage ends up in the ocean. Not worth visiting this place, so maybe look for other destinations or if you desperately want to go to Morocco, definitely look for other companies.
A smart person learns from his own mistakes, a wise person learns from others mistakes.
One thing I will take from this course is how not to instruct my students.
