• From Puerto Vallarta Airport by Uber:
• We recommend everyone to use Uber getting to Sayulita. You may need to walk out of the airport to the pick up area. The price more economic in comparison to the taxi depending on the time of the day. This can take around 45 minutes with little traffic, 90 minutes with heavy traffic.
• From Puerto Vallarta Airport by Loca Bus Service:
• Bus (Local Bus) is a very low cost option. Leaving the airport arrivals area you can see a foot bridge across the highway. Cross that bridge. When you arrive on the other side of the bridge you should look out for bus stop in front of you. You are looking for a bus that has 'Sayulita' written on the front window. Sit at the front for a more comfortable ride. Sit at the back if you have more luggage. You should be warned. These buses do not have suspension at the back of the bus. The bus is generally busy early morning and between 4pm and 7pm. You should not pay anymore than $40 pesos for the bus direct to Sayulita. Journeys can be very short at around 50 minutes or nearly 2 hours in heavy traffic. It is a fun journey when passing through all the towns and checking out the Jungle.
• From Puerto Vallarta Airport by Shuttle Service:
• This option is the less preferable. The price is in dollars and fluctuates with larger luggage. For example: Surf boards or fishing equipment. The drivers are very approachable but the final price can change. It is very common that the price will change. If you are taking a shuttle to Sayulita, pay in advance or settle on the price before you get into the vehicle. Costs up $300 USD for 12 people. Prices are lower in low season. Airport Taxi This option is also not encouraged. Please read 'Airport Shuttle' section Costs around $60 to $75 USD for 3/4 people. Yellow Street Taxi Taxi's operating outside the airport by the bus stops. You can holler these cabs. Generally prices will start very high around $1200 pesos. This price can go as low as $400 pesos with some sweet talking. Drivers generally drive very fast and over take a lot. Agree on a fixed price before you take off.
