Sepang is a town found in the state of Selangor in Malaysia, made famous for the Sepang International Circuit which is used during the Formula 1 and Motor Grand Prix races. This town in the south of the country was originally quite small, and used to be a rubber plantation, but now thanks to its government’s plans, Sepang is a quickly developing area, keen to be one of the world's tourist hot spots.

There are many things to do in Sepang, especially if you are a traveller who is keen on cars. Besides the race track, home of the Malaysian Grand Prix, there is also a National Automobile Museum, which outlines the history of cars in Malaysia and holds some collectors cars from the 1920s.

However you do not have to be interested in cars in order to enjoy a stay in the district of Sepang and one of its hostels. There is also Cyberjaya, Malaysia’s version of Silicon Valley, or, if you are looking for something more traditional, then Bagan Lalang Beach. Whilst this coastal town is not great for swimming, but you will find an abundance of locals here, and will be able to soak up the experience of watching a native fisherman collect razor shells.

Because so many people flock to Sepang for the motor racing, there is no limit to the hostels you will find in this area, especially near the airport. All are modern and well reviewed, and many hostels in Sepang are known for their idea help and assistance at all hours. For a low cost, you can explore this part of Malaysia with ease and return to a clean hostel to share with fellow travellers.

You will also find Malaysian and Chinese food in abundance here, and shopping malls to keep you entertained. Sepangs modern touch will keep any hostel goer curious, and teach a thing or two about development and growth in the world.
