• Tonsai Beach can only be reached by boat. Take a boat from Ao Nang Beach over to Tonsai Beach. 100b per person, the boat waits for 8 people before leaving. The ticket office is open 7am-6pm. If coming after 6 pm, there will be fewer people waiting and you might need to pay for a private boat, which can be 800b-1000b.
• Once on Tonsai Beach take the concrete path on the left-hand side, next to the red hut, where all the boats are, follow the path up and we are 5 minutes away.
• If you wish to do activities on the Mainland, Ao nang, or Krabi town, I recommend you stay on the mainland. Otherwise enjoy Tonsai for its beauty, wildlife, Cliffs, and the activities we have to offer.
• In Stormy weather, you may need to leave from Ao Nam Mao pier. The boats from here run every 2 hours. The boat is 100b per person. The boat waits for 8-10 people before leaving. Ao Nam Mao Pier is only 3km from Ao Nang.
• The boat will take you to Railay East. From Railay East, you can walk directly to Railay West. 10-15 mins, from Railay West on the right-hand side of the beach, at low tide, you can walk over the rocks from beach to beach. It around takes 20mins.
• There is a small jungle path you can also take. You have to climb a few rocks, before you see the path this will also take 20 minutes.
• If you love trying something new and like a bit of adventure then this could be a fun challenge for you. We do not recommend this for anyone who has a lot of luggage, especially suitcases.
• Once on Tonsai Beach, please take the path on the left-hand side of the beach (if looking into the jungle) You will see a red hut, where the longtail boats are parked, follow the path up into the jungle. We are on the path, in the middle. We are a 5-minute walk from the beach.
• To get here from the airport: You can either take the bus 160b per person or a taxi 500b-600b. You need to Ao nang beach or to Ao Nam Mou Pier (stormy weather)
