KDhostel is a centrally located hostel in Kaliningrad that's nice and modern for a hostel. The beds are comfy and the hostel is very clean. The receptionists are very helpful, and whilst it is small, it is very good value for money.
The Location
The hostel is fairly centrally located in a decent area that has plenty of food options. Whilst Kaliningrad is not very big, it is easy to walk around the centre of the city or you can take buses. Getting to and from the bus terminal is quite simple and takes around fifteen minutes. The airport is located forty minutes outside of Kaliningrad, but a bus traveling to and from the airport is able to stop near the hostel when coming from the airport. Nearby there are plenty of cheap and good places to eat such as a nearby cheap cafeteria recommended by the hostel staff. The hostel is fairly easy to locate and is on the second floor of the business centre.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Rooms are incredibly clean and immaculate. The cleaner does a very good job keeping the rooms clean and the beds are already made up upon your arrival. The dorm beds each have curtains for each bed which are very cosy. Each bed has its own charging socket, a small locker for valuables and lamp. The beds are very comfy and the sheets and covers very cosy. Each room also has hangers for clothes and places to store the bags. There is also space under the beds for storing bags. There is also plenty of natural light in the rooms as there is a big window at the end of the room.
Common Spaces
Whilst the common area is limited to only one kitchen, it is big enough for all the guests. The hostel is only small so there is no problem for overcrowded common spaces. The kitchen has everything for cooking including cooking utensils and a fridge. A water filter is also included in the kitchen by the sink and you can make your own tea and coffee (a hot pot of coffee is always left on during the morning). The area has plenty of small tables and comfy sofas, but is lacking in charging points if you need to use your laptop or charge any devices. By reception, there are umbrellas available for guest use, which is great for the unpredictable weather of Kaliningrad. They also encourage the use of their bags for grocery shopping to prevent the use of plastic bags.
Summary
This hostel offers a very cosy and comfortable stay, which is excellent value in Kaliningrad. The hostel has very comfortable beds and is a nice, quiet, and calm place for a good rest. The receptionists also speak good English and can help you with planning anything in Kaliningrad.

• The nearest airport is Kaliningrad Khrabrovo Airport, 19 km from the property.
• At Khrabrovo airport get on 244-E bus, get off at Shopping Mall Europe stop. Turn right and go as far as the pedestrian towards shopping mall Europe. Cross Leninskiy avenue, turn right. In 10 metres between At Gashek’s inn and Zotler enter the glass door.
• All the best bars, restaurants and coffee houses are within walking distance from KD Hostel.
