• 1. From Colombo – Express Highway bus from Bastian Mawatha (Near Fort/Petah) to Matara.
• Departs at 0630, 1100, 1630 and 1830 ≈ 1000 Rs. (can be booked online at BusBooking.lk)
• 2. From Airport - Just south of the Airport is a bus stand. You can take the 187 Highway to Colombo and then follow the above directions.
• - From Negombo (Near airport) there are luxury A/C highway buses that leave at 0700 and 1430.
• 3. Those who wish to travel along the coast, there are several buses that run along the Galle Road from the Fort Bus Station.
• 4. If you fancy a train ride, you'll find the Colombo - Matara journey (scheduled twice a day) to be a treat. Or Colombo to Galle and then take a bus (more frequent)
