The Hostel Step is a new hostel situated in a quiet suburb area of Pula. Just 15 minutes drive from the city centre and few minutes walk from the sea, the Hostel Step offers you a perfect vacation free from the traffic noise and city stress. The hostel has it own free parking area, but those who travel withou car can find a bus station few metres away with a direct line to the city centre every 30minutes. Additionally, it is possible to contact our staff and arrange transport to the hostel from every of the travellers arrival points, such as aeroport or main bus and train stations.
The Hostel Step is situated in a completely renovated private house and provides you a cosy place to relax and enjoy your vacation. With just 10 bedrooms and 1 suite it offers you a perfect intimate atmosphere along with contents which will make your life easier. On the ground floor of the hostel our guests can enjoy in the real authentic Istrian tavern where they can taste local specialities and wines at special prices. It is interesting to know that the tavern often hosts famous musicians and DJ's who are part of the summer visitors atracted by this beautiful urban suburb. The property is surrounded by a large garden and includes a childreen playground, a spacious summer house with a direct sea view to enjoy your evenings and a outdoor coctail bar which will offer happy hours on a daily basis. The hostel provides you with bike rentals, too as well as a specially designed bicycle tour of the city of Pula. Additionally, as our intention was to create a warm place for our guests, we have managed to assemble a team of young and friendly people who complete our offer in a special way. Our guest can be free to ask any question and on their arrival will be provided with a city map and informations about the location and facilities that are available.
Just few minutes from the hostel, our guests can find the old and beautiful Austro-Hungarian fortress (Punta Christo) which can be used as a starting point in exploring historical remains that surround the entire area. Moreover, the main fortress is known throughout Europe as a place that hosts hugely popular festivals and during the summer provides parties and concerts almost on a daily basis. Except the fortress, our guest can find entertainment on every step on their way. The Štinjan bay is famous for its beatiful beaches, sports acitivities such as beach volleyball, water trampoline, jet ski and water toys rentall, diving tours but also many beach bars that are located along the coast. Additionally, just 10 minutes drive from the hostel is located the popular and authentic Istrian town of Fažana where our guests can feel and experience the true and romantic Istrian spirit. Furthermore, in Fažana is located the departing point for one of the most popular National parks in Croatia - The Brijuni islands known for their natural beauties and historical significance.

• Directions to your Hostel:
• FROM THE BUS STATION
• Take bus number 5, direction Stinjan, get off in front of Caffe bar Palazzo (4th stop when you enter in Stinjan). When you exit the bus turn left in the sea direction and walk down the street for cca 300 meters. Turn right at the 4th intersection and walk 30 meters.
• FROM THE TRAIN STATION
• Walk 500 meters to the main bus station. Take bus number 5, direction Stinjan, get off in front of Caffe bar Palazzo (4th stop when you enter in Stinjan). When you exit the bus turn left in the sea direction and walk down the street for cca 300 meters. Turn right at the 4th intersection and walk 30 meters.
• FROM THE AIRPORT
• Take shuttle bus to Puntizela – Stinjan (price per person is 38,00 kn). Ask the driver to leave you in front of Caffe bar Palazzo and then follow the instructions above. If the shuttle bus goes directly to Puntizela, get off there and turn left in the Stinjan center direction. Walk for 200 meters and turn left uphill. Turn left on the first intersection and walk 30 meters.
• IMPORTANT: For public transport you need a ticket each time you get on a bus. You can buy tickets directly from the bus driver (price about 11,00 kn in one way). If you want to use city bus lines more often during your stay in Pula, you can buy rechargeable Magnetic Cards at newsagent kiosks. In that case, the one-way-ride costs 7,00 kn instead 11,00 kn. Validate your ticket when you get on the bus. The bus runs from 6AM to 10PM depending on the day of the week.
