Great Hostel. Cozy, clean, and nice people!
This hostel is super nice! The dorms are cozy with comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The kitchen is tidy with all cooking utensils provided. Wolfie and Elias, the owners, are very friendly guys and we even meet up on the mountain one day to go snowboarding together. The location is perfect, close to the gondola and the beach. I had a great time there!

Awesome!
Yes, this is the place to be! Had a wonderful time in Tahoe here, the hosts Wolfie and Elias are amazing and the whole atmosphere is laid back and just perfect. There is a common room with a foosball and ping-pong table, kitchen with everything available (even a coffee bean grinder ... yes!) -- beamer for movies, and lots of cool people who will most probably have become your friends when it's time to leave. The room is great, slept like a baby every night. I'm definitely planning on returning to Tahoe and when I do I'm staying at Mellow Mountain Hostel again for sure. Can't wait to go back!

I can't say enough good things about this place. The staff is really friendly and helpful, the accommodations are great, and the people there are really interesting. Definitely stay there if you're going to South Lake Tahoe.

The Best!
Last minute my friends and I wanted to go up to Lake Tahoe for the weekend! It was our first time there. This Hostel was Awesome! The staff are very helpful and easy going! The location is amazing! You can walk to the lake, shops, and casinos. We will be staying at this hostel again! It's very clean and sanitary! They have a fridge, oven, and microwave. Beds were very comfortable. And they have the worlds BEST blankets! Honestly we almost took them with us. One of the nicest hostels I have stayed at.

Location, location, location
These guys have it all!!! Where else can you find a clean, fun, friendly and very accommodating place to stay for $30 pp/pn on July 4th in South Lake Tahoe. The owners have been working very hard to provide everything you need for a comfy place to stay. Free covered parking onsite, lockers for each guest in the room, big kitchen in the communal room if you feel like cooking and if you don't they are located right near Harvey's and harrahs casinos. A great location for skiing/snowboarding, hiking, beach access, entertainment, shopping or anything else you might do while in the area. Great job guys!!
