Myö Hostel gives a modern vibe, with an online check-in process and PIN system. The hostel provides a substantial breakfast and the staff are usually around if any help is needed. This hostel hosts not only many people who are in Helsinki on business, but also solo travelers and groups of people. It is a quiet hostel but it's clean and friendly.
The Location
This hostel is located a short bus ride from downtown Helsinki. It is outside of the city centre, but this ensures peace and quiet. The neighbourhood gives a safe and pleasant feeling for guests. The hostel is easy to find and easy to locate from either the airport, main bus, or main train station. There is room for parking if guests wish to drive their car to the hostel.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The ten-bed, shared dorm has its own private bathroom that is sufficient in size and gives guests places to hook and place their items. Each bed is fitted with clean linen (pillow), and a medium-size locker is provided per guest. The locker comes with a key, so there is no need for a lock and key. There are more toilet and shower facilities outside the dorm room in the case that the private room is occupied. The room itself is light and clean and spacious enough for people to move around. There is room for movement and the beds are comfortable and quiet. There are places to sit within the room also.
Common Spaces
There is a shared kitchen and dining room also with couches and books for guests to read. The kitchen has a large fridge and ample facilities for guests to cook their own meals. There are paper towel and recycling facilities for use. The included breakfast -- which is substantial and of good value -- is provided here in the kitchen. There are plenty of seating spaces for guests to eat at a table or to play games. There are board games, books, and a TV for entertainment.
Summary
This hostel is good value but it's worthy to note that it is located a slight distance from downtown Helsinki. It is best suited for shorter stays and probably for those who are traveling in groups or for work purposes. As there is no necessary face-to-face check-in, it can be confusing at first knowing how to access the room and bed you’ve been assigned.

Location
• You can reach Myö Hostel with a direct bus from the airport. The daily schedules for the bus number 415 can be found online.
• The closest stop to Myö Hostel is ”Ruskeasuo”. There is about a ten minute walk from the stop. You can find us by following the signs to 'Orton' from the main road Mannerheimintie, where the bus leaves you.
• If you come by ferry, you can take the tram from the terminal to Central Railway Station.
• From the Central Railway Station you can catch the bus number 23 from platform 4.
• Myö Hostel is located at the end stop of the bus number 23, the stop is called Invalidisäätiö. We are the 6-storey house at the end of the driveway between the two big buildings.
