Colombo City Jumbo Hostel is operated by some old ladies, and from the moment you step inside, you will feel as if you've come to your grandmother’s home -- a nice and filling breakfast, kind words, and lots of attention are what you can expect here.
The Location
Jumbo Hostel is located a bit more to the south of the center than what would still be convenient. Therefore, unless you absolutely adore walking in the heat, you will have to take a tuk tuk to go exploring. This is a really boring part of the city with nothing to look at really. You will be next to a busy road and some residential and office buildings, but at least there are plenty of food options around.
Rooms and Bathrooms
Everything is quite simple and old fashioned at this hostel, but it is perfectly ok for the amount of time you are likely to stay in Colombo. The hostel has dorms with different numbers of bunk beds inside. They are cooled by fans, which are actually surprisingly efficient, and you get decent-sized lockers in which to store your belongings. Most of the rooms are en suite. The bathroom is also simple and there is only cold water available, but you get soap and shower gel for free.
Common Spaces
In the middle of the building, there is a huge common area with different spaces inside -- there is a TV corner, a reading corner, and a big dining table where breakfast is served in the mornings. You get three toasts, which all have different toppings; one is with eggs, one with jam, and one with banana. You can also choose tea or coffee to go with it. It is a pretty nice idea that they have a travelers’ message board inside where you can leave a note for others if you want to exchange currency, give away some books, or find travel buddies. Next to this space, there is also a tiny balcony with a few chairs, which can be a nice place to cool down in the evenings.
Summary
If you are not super fussy about the style of your accommodation, you will have a really nice time at this hostel where some lovely old ladies will spoil you rotten if you let them.

• Take Bus 103 ( frequent buses at every minute ) and pay 20 Rupees ( 0.2 $ ) and get down at Punchi borella Junction . Cross the road and find Valuation department of Sri Lanka and find Us next to the building .
