Excellent accueil
Excellent accueil, ambiance. Chambre double trs belle. Pub Annascaul parfait (the South pole inn). 2 nuits trs calmes.

My friends and i had a great time at Dinglegate Hostel owner very helpful .We are a few senior ladies, we go to Dinglegate to getaway from it all. We are going again in June 2012 and looking forward to it.

Nice stay, very cozy
Do not hesitate to stop at the Dingle Gate on your way in or out of the dingle peninsula. Brian will receive you warmly and you can chat with him about his "farm" and enjoy his hen's eggs. Warm shower and large rooms usually available without reservation. Nice and cozy TV room with a fireplace for raining days.

Lovely setting and good value. clean and comfortable.
Very disappointed that one could not pay by credit card, cash only requested shortly after arrival. Not one to carry large amts of cash backpacking. Seems to be a trend in many hostels in Kerry. Why? Avoiding paying tax!!!!!!

I'm actually local but sometimes we go up there and join parties by Germans (rare). Seriously, the place is nice but the owners, the Currans, live across the road so you can have a party quite easily. I once woke up in the dining quarters, drenched, covered and REEKING of beer only to be met by a smiling Japanese family. I still don't know how I got there that morning, but I can confirm that the shower was warm!

The Fuschsia Lodge has ensuite rooms with hot showers. The kitchen is large, but it can get crowded if there is a tour group there. The mattresses weren't very comfy, but the fun we had in the town of Annascaul (one mile walk from the Fuschia) made up for it. It is a great place for a pub crawl - don't miss the South Pole Inn! The Fuschia is a nice place to stay if you want to visit the beautiful Dingle Peninsula and get away from it all.
