The OSA MARIPOSA serves as an alternative oasis to travelers who want to visit the beach and enjoy a relaxed, peaceful environment without losing access to the city and all it has to offer. We are situated in a quiet, residential neighborhood made up of sandy streets, fruit trees, small shops and smiley faces. Just two blocks (100 meters) to the beach and halfway between the two best surf breaks (Zicatela and La Punta), barely a three minute walk to the highway the hotelito is well situated for many activities. Commuting to the center of town (banks, bus stations, super market) takes no more than about 7 minutes in taxi or local bus and, of course, walking along the beach is an option as well. Our neighborhood is developing rapidly. You can find various internet cafes, mini-supermarkets, restaurants, diners, yoga classes, surf shops, movies and more.

• The hotel is about 7 minutes down the highway from the ADO/OCC terminal.
• TAXI: HOSTAL OSA MARIPOSA, Colonia Brisas de Zicatela, Calle Cancun s/n. Primera entrada a la punta, dobla a la derecha en calle Tamaulipas, dobla a la derecha en calle Cancun (unas tres cuadras antes de llegar en la playa), sigue derecho una cuadra y media. Telefono: 954-110-8354
• For domestic and international air travel please visit the Puerto Escondido International Airport website. Most flights are routed through Mexico City. (Mexico City to Puerto Escondido = roughly 50 minutes) Flights are also available from Oaxaca City and Acapulco. From the bus station or airport tell your taxi driver to take you to la OSA MARIPOSA in Brisas de Zicatela or take the covered truck (collective taxi) that passes down the Carretera Costera (Coast Highway 200) and get off at Alejandro Cardenas Peralta and follow your map or ask for directions.
