Aurora Knight Hostel is extremely simple, but serves the purpose perfectly; with its central location, constant cheap prices, and relaxed environment, it is a popular spot with backpackers and therefore advance booking is recommended.
The Location
Aurora Knight Hostel is located on Lewis Place, the busiest street of the touristy part of Negombo where the majority of restaurants, souvenir shops, and tourist agencies are located. The hostel is only about three minutes from the beach and is ideal for those wanting to take a swim several times a day, as you can just leave your stuff at the hostel and head to the beach with a towel. Many people decide to stay in Negombo after or before their flights to and from Sri Lanka and while the airport bus stops about a kilometre from the hostel, tuk tuks are always available to transport you.
Rooms and Bathrooms
There are only a few rooms at Aurora Knights Hostel but most of the beds are in dorms. The dorms are quite spacious and offer not only bunks but a double bed as well. Inside, you will find a big table and a dressing table as well as many electronic plugs, even if they are not next to the beds. What is really missing, however, are lockers -- given that many people prefer to leave their valuables at the hostel while heading to the beach. The rooms are en suite and the bathrooms are quite nice even if not too huge. Moreover, they only have cold water available.
Common Spaces
There is quite a lot of space to socialise in the dorm itself and people often like to sit and chat on the double bed when it is not in use. However, there is also a terrace available for this purpose right in front of the entrance. There are some tables here and you can borrow plates and cutlery in case you want to eat something here, but the kitchen is only available for staff use. Unfortunately, the terrace is a smoking area as well, which means that if you are not a smoker, you might not enjoy sitting here.
Summary
Aurora Knight is an excellent choice if your main concern is your budget and you are happy with something simple and practical. However, do not expect anything more than the basics -- Wi-Fi is slow, and apart from a comfy place to sleep, there are not many extras included.

From the Colombo International Airport get a Taxi to Aurora Knight Hostel. It will cost 1300-2000 LKR. tuk tuk will cost 800-1200 LKR. you can reach place within 20-30, then take a 905 rout bus and get down lewis place. then you can find No. 136, Aurora Knight Hostel.
