Nerarel Hostel Namba is an excellent option if you want a quiet but nice stay with good location, fully equipped kitchen, and a nice common area with computers and manga. Everything is very clean and the dorms are big and comfortable enough for a good sleep. This is not a party hostel.
The Location
This hostel has an excellent location in Namba, right in front of Namba Parks and Namba city, where the subway is located. There are many shops, restaurants, and malls nearby the area. It is located right in the corner on the third floor, but there’s a lift and there is a big, clear sign outside so it’s easy to identify. It's in a busy neighborhood and it's easy to walk to Kuromon and other shopping streets.
Rooms and Bathrooms
This hostel has private and shared dorms. For the shared dormitories, there is a password door lock. For the female-only dorm, each box/space is quite big, with a small locker; big, comfortable bed; and hangers (there's another one for the towel). There's one lamp and just one plug in each box. There is a towel over the bed, which the guest can change everyday. Slippers and toothbrush are given when checking in. There is a dressing area inside the dorm, and there's enough space inside the dorm. There is an area for shared closet inside the dorm. Bigger lockers can be found on the third floor (where the reception is located).
The toilets are clean. The shower is a proper room with a basket for placing clothes. The water is hot and they offer shampoo, body soap, and conditioner. There are hair dryers and facial cleaners, as well as make-up remover pads and swabs. Hair irons can be borrowed. Other amenities such as disposable razors and earplugs are for sale in the reception.
Common Spaces
This is a seven-floor building. The first two and last one are a shopping store. The hostel’s reception is located on the third floor; there is a lift. In the reception there are lockers, laundry, kitchen, dining room, dressing room, and living room area. There is a huge collection of manga. There are umbrellas for the guests to borrow as well as free black and green coffee. The kitchen is fully equipped, with bowls, cutlery, kettle, fridge, and microwave. Right next to it is the dining area and then the living room where there is a huge TV, free computers (with headphones), and a dressing area. There are many books about Osaka and Japan in general.
Summary
This is a great option if you want to chill and want good amenities; big, clean areas; nice dorm; fully equipped kitchen; computers; manga; and an amazing location in front of the subway.
