ArteHostel Popayan is nice, clean, and comfortable and with friendly, helpful staff!
The Location
ArteHostel Popayan is located in the old part of town only a short walk from the main square and most of Popayán's attractions. There are a lot of really good and cheap places to eat around the area, which you should definitely try, given this city's fame for gastronomy. To get here from the main bus terminal, you can walk twenty minutes or pay to take a taxi.
Rooms and Bathrooms
The dorm rooms here are fairly spacious and the beds are really cozy. It can get a little chilly in the night sometimes, but each bed has blankets and they will supply you with more if you need another. If you have any valuables that you want to keep safe, they have lockers in the living area that are fairly sizable but you need to provide your own lock.
There are three bathrooms with toilet and shower in each and they are nice and clean. Each shower has an electric heater and gives off good hot water. They provide you with a towel during your stay as well, so this is a nice comfort.
Common Spaces
There are a few areas here that are really lovely for chilling out. The living area has some armchairs, a bookcase with a range of books, and a whole bunch of games for those lazy nights relaxing with other guests. They also have a couple of courtyards with hammocks and tables and chairs.
There is a kitchen here as well that is fully equipped for cooking your own meals if you are on a super tight budget and can't afford to eat out.
Summary
ArteHostel is a really nice place to relax and enjoy your time in Popayán. The staff are friendly and helpful and are always around. There is a large security door for your safety and only the staff can let you in once you have gone out, so there is always someone here. They are very helpful also with knowledge of what to do in the city and then how to make your way around to other attractions within the area and offer luggage storage if you are wanting to do an overnight trip out to San Agustin. It's a really great place to stay!

• How to reach us:
• From the bus terminal:
• - Take a taxi to La Pamba Neighbourhood. Calle 3 # 1 – 32. The price will be around 4000 to 5000 Pesos and lasts 10 minutes.
• - Walk over the pedestrian bridge outside the bus terminal on the way to the main park Parque Caldas. Once you are there, walk up four blocks on the 3rd street. We are located in the middle of the block on the left side. (You will spend 20 minutes walking).
• From the airport:
