Alnwick Youth Hostel is located in the centre of the medieval market town of Alnwick in North Northumberland.
Once the town's Court House built in 1856, today the accommodation offered by Alnwick Youth Hostel is somewhat less austere.
Located on Green Batt, on what was once the site of the medieval town wall, Alnwick Youth Hostel is handy for Alnwick Castle and Gardens, Barter Books and the Bailiffgate Museum. Converted in 2011 and opened by HM the Queen, the hostel has 57 beds, spread over 15 rooms, all of which are ensuite. The hostel boasts plenty of social space including a bright and airy modern dining room, cosy lounge and sunny court yard for guests to use.
Alnwick is only 4 miles from some fantastic beaches and stunning coastline, so why not make the most of your trip and take a trip out to explore Craster, Seahouses or Bamburgh Castle. The bus passes the door of the hostel so why not take a ride and leave the car behind.
Our reception staff can help with information about attractions, days out, walks and transport links. We can also help with making onward bookings and booking attraction tickets and discounts.
Alnwick Youth Hostel operates as part of YHA's Enterprise scheme. This 4 star standard hostel provides quality budget accommodation, suitable for families, independent travellers and groups alike.
