"Impossible" to find if you follow the hostel's directions or the guidebooks'. Just face east from the train station, find the yellow New Plaza Hotel, behind and to the left is the Home Inn, and behind and to the left of that is the hostel. Decent, clean dorms, friendly and helpful staff, and good bus transportation is nearby. They handled my river trip quite well.
One of the nicest hostels I have ever stayed in. Better than many a hostel in Europe. Very new, clean and a good atmosphere. Nice staff who were pretty helpful and most of whom spoke English. Internet, pool table and DVD collection were ace. Overall a great four nights there.
We only stayed here one night. It was a little hard to find at first -- coming from the train station, we didn't realize we had to cross the street. However, once we saw the bright pink signs, it was easy to find. The hostel is a refuge of western warmth and comfort in a traditional chinese city. Wood decoration, lots of plants, extremely well decorated. The rooms were clean as well as the bathrooms. The bed squeaked like crazy when I would move around (I felt bad for my roommates), and they had a crazy little kitten there that was "meowing" like crazy, but other than that, it was great. Very nice and convenient. I recommend it!
