BEDBUGS
The owners are more concerned with having their own party and bringing tons of kids around. Kids are ok but it gets annoying when your trying to vacay. Hostel should be advertised as family style if that is the case. BEDBUGS, BEDBUGS, BEDBUGS!! I was eaten alive last night and killed a full bellied bedbug this morning. Now I am writing this review at 2 in the morning -- 5 hours after I've gone to bed because I have gotten bit again and now I am preoccupied with them crawling all over me. The only good thing is there is a guy who keeps the place in clean order everyday. The girls at front are nice.
Ok for one day at the beach
I stayed a few nights. The surrounding area is nice with the beach in walking distance and a shopping street. There is also a grocery store nearby for breakfast, which the hostel doesnt offer not even for pay. The staff was nice and have had information about parking (free nearby) and the ride to the hague (in tram, cable car). Be sure to book your full trip at once. If you have to change rooms (temporarily available rooms) at the morning you may have to wait until 9 (or in my case 10.30 ... she was late) because the temporary staff/ or newbies (?) doesnt know how to operate the booking system. The 6 bed room is one hell of a experience ... if you mind your head it is possible to sleep in it but not comfy. I wanted to try the famous BBQ ... but it is only available for groups. What a shame. A collecting list (each day) would be helpful. (that at least worked in ireland). The wifi reception in the rooms is fair to poor depending on which room you're on. The toilets and showers are separated, on the floors and often broken (at least a sign said that). But if you go over enough floors you will eventually find one. Don't forget your shoes because the showers are one room showers without (even small) tubs. There are no lockers in the rooms. The only thing i saw were 6 full metal compartment on a floor. The common areas are nice but the tv-program is almost completely in dutch. They have a pool table but theres more than one ball missing. I wouldnt mind that ... but the area is closed very very early ... that really sucks. I am not sure if i would go there again. I would maybe try another hostel instead. If you like the beach and you're out all day (and most of the night) it is ok.
great location if you are interested in visiting the beach.
