Located in the heart of Trastevere, the most ancient district of Rome apart from the Forum, Orsa Maggiore is inside the historical building called Buon Pastore, a XVI century ex convent, now Casa Internazionale delle Donne (International Women House).
We have private rooms and dorms (no bunk beds). All the rooms are very spaciuos and quiet. The breakfast consists of: Lavazza espresso coffe, cappuccino, tea, chocolate, bread, jams, yogourts, butter, cornflakes, 2 kinds of cheese, cake, orange juice etc. and is included in the rate.
We have the kitchen for guests' use.
Linen and towels are provided (towels are not provided for last minute or special rates).
The atmosphere is quiet an friendly.The wi-fi is in the lobby and in the breakfast room.
Guests can relax in the courtyard and eat in the restaurant "Luna e l'altra" or have a coffe in the Bar.
We are 15 minutes walking from San Peter, Campo dei Fiori and Piazza Navona, and few blocks away from the Trastevere famous nightlife, where you can find restaurants, pubs, caffees, pizza, music.... and more

Location
• From Fiumicino:
• Take the train to Orte or Fara Sabina and get off at Stazione Ostiense.
• There you take the bus 280 and get off at Lungotevere dei Tebaldi stop (close to Mazzini Bridge).
• Cross the bridge and at the street you’ll see steps on your left; go in Via della Lungara. Then the first street on your right is Via San Francesco di Sales. We are inside the first building on the left, with a grey main door (nr. 1/a)
• From Ciampino:
• Take the bus to Termini station.
• From Termini:
• Take bus 64 and get off at Santo Spirito Hospital (first stop after the bridge). Then take bus 280 or 23 for two stops and get off at Ponte Mazzini. Go down the steps and the first street on the right is our street, Via San Francesco di Sales. We are inside the first building on your left.
• We are at the second floor of Casa Internazionale Delle Donne. Once in the entrance hall you’ll see the signs Orsa Maggiore that lead to the elevator.
