• Driving: Thredbo is around five hours' drive from Sydney or Melbourne. The Kosciuszko Alpine Way between Thredbo and Jindabyne is clear of snow at most times during winter, so it is easily accessed by two wheel drive vehicle. Depending on conditions, every now and then snow chains may be required. These can be hired from most service stations in Jindabyne and Cooma.
• Coach: Daily services link Thredbo to most major centres.
• Flying: Rex Airlines fly daily from Sydney to Snowy Mountains Airport (Cooma), which is located one to one and a half hours' drive from Thredbo.
• Most airlines also service Canberra Airport from major Australian cities. Canberra Airport is two and a half hours from Thredbo. Shuttle transfers to and from both airports can be arranged, and major car hire companies also operate from Canberra.
• As Thredbo is located in the Kosciuszko National Park, fees are payable for entry. Passes are avaliable at the park entry gate or the newsagency located in the Village Square,Thredbo.
