Soggiorno Lo Stellino has 20 newly refurbished, modern and comfortable rooms with a light and spacious atmosphere in a newly refurbished building just outside the walls of Siena (2km far from the historical center and 1,5 km far from the Siena train station).
There are single, double, triple and quadruple rooms to rent, and on request there is a kitchen/dining room and an internet point available for use by guests. All rooms have telephone, satellite television and air conditioning and there is big parking available and a private garden. Buses run into the historical centre of Siena every twenty minutes and Lo Stellino is close to Siena railway station. It's possible to rent bikes and book several tours.

A prim-and-proper and friendly place, but a bit far from the centre. Large rooms, a guest kitchen and even TVs in the rooms. Ample parking, motorbikes can park in the dry.

Liked: I had my room for myself, the bathroom was very clean. There was a little terrace/balcony to share but quite nice by night. The staff was nice and helpful to provide me information I needed. Didn't like: The location, it was quite far from city center. You have to take the bus, as I was staying very shortly and prefer to walk (plus it was weekend so not many public transport working), it was not ideal for me. I think it was quite expensive as it described itself as a hostel but it's more a hotel where I had to share the bathroom and no breakfast included for twice the price I usually pay in a real hostel for same service (beside I had my own room in this case). But to be fair was still one of the cheapest place available in Siena. Then I tried to connect to Internet (which is normally provided) but it never worked.

Liked: Wonderful room with toskany-like interior. Big balcony with lots of flowers. Place seems to be recently renewed. Didn't like: Location of the hostel is right on the very noisy street - the one that leads to the city center - and the sound isolation of the room is not the best one.

The rooms where nice and clean. The cafe where you can eat breakfast was good. But the location is not perfect. You have to go by bus to the center. although the bus is cheap.

Is a very clean place and the beds are comfortable to recharge energies. A very good parking for those with cars.
The only negative point is that the reception was closed (when it shoud be opened) and I've lost a precious time of my trip around Toscana.

• BY CAR FROM NORTH:• Leave Firenze at “Firenze Certosa”, take the motorway to Siena, that’ s the street on the right just out of the toll-house. Follow for about 60 km and leave at “Siena Nord”.
• Go on the climb and at the fork turn on the right. At the round-about go straight on direction “Siena Centro”.
• The Soggiorno Lo Stellino is about 200 mt. far from the round-about, on the right side of the street.
• BY CAR FROM SOUTH:
• Leave at “Valdichiana”, then take the motorway to Siena, and follow for about 50 km.
• Take the motorway “Siena-Firenze” and leave at “Siena Nord”.
• Go on the climb and at the fork turn on the right. At the round-about go straight on direction “Siena Centro”.
• The Soggiorno Lo Stellino is about 200 mt. far from the round-about, on the right side of the street.
• FROM THE TRAIN STATION:
• Go out of the train station, turn on the right in Viale Sclavo, then follow on the climb.
• At the traffic lights turn on the right (you are in Via Fiorentina), and go straight on for about 800 mt. until the Soggiorno Lo Stellino, on the left side of the street.
• From the train station you can take bus number 4 – 10 – 77, and ask to the bus driver to stop you at “Lo Stellino” bus stop.
• FROM Florence by Bus
• Stop at the first bus stop in Siena called “Lo Stellino” only 50 mt. before the Soggiorno Lo Stellino.
