Andriani's Guest House Reviews

Excellent value

My fiancee and I stayed here in July 2007, and we have nothing but good things to say about this place. Andriani was nice enough to come and pick us up from the port, which was a massive relief given how busy it is when the ferries come in, and how maze-like Mykonos town is. The guest house is really pretty and the rooms are clean and nicely decorated. We had a great view from our window and the guest house is just a short walk from Mykonos town. Andriani's wife's uncle (I think I got that right) looks after the apartments, and he is a lovely gentleman who gave us a map, and was very helpful with advice on where to go and things to do. Lastly, this place was very reasonably priced. Two big thumbs up.

My friend and I started off our month long trek around Europe on the island of Mykonos at Andriani's and it was by far the best place we stayed the whole trip. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, they encourage you to ask questions and give you tips about where to eat, how to travel around the island. We paid a little extra for a room with a view, which was stunning, and it was still a reasonable cost. There is a lovely courtyard which overlooks the sea and is filled with lush flowers the owners were always tending to and you are likely to see a few friendly cats hanging around too. Also, it's possible to meet people in other rooms by hanging out in the courtyard, since all the rooms are separate. The hostel is very close to the downtown, it is about a five- to seven-minute walk (or a twenty-minute walk if you're a confused tourist), it is up on a hill, so there is a little bit of a hike, but it's worth it for the spectacular view -- every time you go up or down the hilly street you can't help but pause to take in the port and town all lit up and the incredibly blue ocean and other islands beyond. Our room was cleaned every day, they had a safe to store valuables, the rooms are very spacious (we had a private two-person room) and we just really couldn't have been happier with our stay here. Highly, highly recommended.

we stayed at adriani's for about 5 days. the owner is nowhere to be found if you need anything. you cannot take a shower without holding the shower head in one hand. sometimes there is no hot water at night. the shutters do not close to make the room dark enough. the bedsheets were not that clean, and best of all it is a steep walk uphill after a long night out).

A great place! The owner was wonderful! Emailed a hello before we arrived and offered to pick us up at the harbor, which he did, and sent us an email of thanks after we left. The place was comfortable, hidden from the bussel of the busy town but close enough to walk around so you didn't miss anything. Yes, there was a little hike uphill to the hostel but, it was well worth it! Our room had a wonderful view and felt so romantic (even though I was with my best girlfriends)! And the greatest thing also, it was cheap! I recommend this place to anyone - stay here!

Andriani's Guest House Reviews from the Web

Andrianis is a terrific location to stay. Family run and a charming property. I really appreciated the pick up and drop off to the port.

Yes, its up a steep road (w stairs), but wasnt really a problem for me- might be different if you have mobility issues.

A 1.5L water bottle was provided in the room daily which was great!

Enjoyed the courtyard common area with shaded pergola and table/chairs to relax.

Had a pretty partial sea view from my room which was large, very clean and quiet.

Liked: transfer services are free Didn't like: too overpriced! EUR 150 a night is way too much for what you get.

Shower kept turning cold and then super hot every 5 seconds. NO BREAKFAST INCLUDED .

Toiletries are only one little soap and shampo tha dont get replaced on the following day.

I paid 55 a night in a private ensuite in a hostel and got nice shower, BREAKFAST included, water refill and toiletries.

here we paid 3 x more the price for much less.

too overpriced...its an exploitation

Liked: Free airport transfer

Large room

Nice bathroom

Safe in room

Fridge in room

Balcony! Didn't like: Nothing

Good location and value for money. Perfect if you have no exceptional demands.

Liked: Great location, friendly staff and very charming. Didn't like: Shower was broken.

Liked: Clean rooms, good info on what to do outside of partying..good breakfast for 8 Euro available. Didn't like: steep climb from the city center

Excellent place and stuff

Liked: Plus: location ~ quiet & very close to Mykonos town. Terrace outside the room. Didn't like: None.

Beautiful rooms, great view from window, excellent owners and close to the town centre

Liked: It was very cute. Not a bad location 5 minutes to Little Venice and 2 to the bus station. Room was cleaned every day. TVs, blow dryer, a safe and a mini fridge inside rooms. Didn't like: They charge for transportation to and from the Port. The staff was a little rude. Our room was a little cold. Its a good location but its half way up a steep hill if you're ok with that. The showers can get a little messy if you're not careful.

Liked: Remember this is a cute guesthouse, not a hostel! Service was great (Antonios was quite helpful, and drove me from port/to airport), and the location was great (3 minute walk to bus station and 6-8 minute walk to windmills and old town)! Refrigerator in room. Building was quite charming with a nice courtyard outside. Room was cleaned every day, as well as trash bin emptied daily. Didn't like: Shower is tiny, shower curtain is too short and water gets everywhere... This is not the hostel's fault really, it seems to be the way showers are built in Greece....
