International House Reviews

I mostly enjoyed my time here. It is one of the cheaper ways to have a double room in London. The bathrooms were pretty clean. It was very quiet. The carpets were not so clean. The view was kind of cool--on the 5th floor, you can see part of the parliment from the room. The outside of the building was pretty sketchy-looking and really the lounge area on the first floor. It looked kind of like the hall/dorm that students really tried to avoid. Also, they won't let you check into your room until 2pm, which is a bummer if you've been up all night on a plane. There are sinks in the room, which is a big plus. And it is very close to the North Lambeth underground stop!! You can also walk pretty easily to the Westminster area. I would reccommend it, but just don't expect the Four Seasons. :)

We really enjoyed our stay and the value for the price was excellent. The staff were very attentive, the room was very clean, and even though we only stayed 2 nights, it was serviced during our stay. Importantly, the a/c worked extremely well. The only issue was that beginning around 8:30 AM, the hotel became quite loud. Maybe we were near the kitchen or laundry, but there was a lot of commotion, so don't expect to sleep in! Finally, the location was convenient to several underground lines.

The "double bed" is 120cm, not a standard double. Worth mentioning that it is also the most creaking bed I've ever encountered. Would have been nice to know beforehand that the not isolated window was immediately next to an active building site. At least sunday morning was quite...

This is such a great hotel. The staff were so friendly, the room and lobby felt very clean and the location was brilliant for buses into central. The rooms are quite small but very nice and bright. We would definitely stay here again.

We are one of the popular budget hotel in Central London and can accomodate around 267 guests. We are in the heart close to Hyde park, Fashionable portebello Mkt in notting Hil Gate, Oxford St and local shopping Complex called Whitleys.
