Great place!
I have absolutely nothing but good things to say about this hostel. It only has 11 beds split among 3 rooms so there's very much a family feel to everyone staying there. The wine time at 9 every night is also great. Staff and owner are extremely helpful and friendly. If I ever find myself in Florence again I'm definitely staying here.
Liked: The host was really friendly and it felt like home. Didn't like: The room was a bit cold and the hostel was quite a walk from the center
LIBORIO
The staff is as great and as cheerful as can be. One possible improvement would be to have top sheets on the bed too (instead of just bottom sheet and blanket). When I was there, there was no atmosphere (neither positive nor negative) since there was no one else there.
Liked: Laura is the nicest personal in the whole world! She has such a big heart. You feel like home with mom Didn't like: I booked a 3 person room but got into a room with 4 persons.
Owners
Liked: A great little hostel ran by two lovely people who take the time to point out all of the best things to see and do in Florence. Also, the free wine is amazing! Didn't like: The location isn't great- about 15-20 mins walk to the city centre.
Been traveling over a year now, one of the best hostels I've stayed in. Laura is amazing, helps you out with anything you need. Smaller place, easy to meet other people and connect. Incredibly clean, great atmosphere. True, it is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the city center, but c'mon, it's Florence - embrace the walk and drink in the city amd culture. Can't say enough about this place.
Dany House was the best hostel me and my friends stayed at during our 2 weeks in Italy. Laura and her husband are SO nice and friendly and make you feel at home during your stay. Me and my friends shared the 5 bedroom room and it was clean, cute, and homey. The hostel is around a 15 minute walk to the center but the walk is easy and I enjoyed staying a little further out because it wasn't as loud. They offer a breakfast for 2 euros and its SO worth it - you won't find anything cheaper anywhere in Italy. We were sad to say bye to Dany House and wished we could have stayed here our whole trip. Thanks so much for the great stay <3
Liked: Liborio and Laura are FANTASTIC owners of this small hostel. VERY FRIENDLY AND CARING! they gave the hostel a very homely feel. One thing i appreciate was that they took the time to provide a city map and highlight the must see attractions as well as good places for shopping as well as savouring the italian delicacies (gelato, pizza, pasta, paninis) to help avoid the many tourist traps. overall the best and most caring owners I have seen in the 7 hostels that I stayed with during my trip Didn't like: the only small issue is that it is a bit far from the historic centre (about 20mins walk) and it was located off a rather annoying road intersection that required going around it to cross
Liborio and Laura were very friendly!! They were very helpful and responsive to all my enquiries, it felt like staying with my own brother and sister :)However, it seems like I missed the legendary evening wine party? :( Maybe I will come back to Florence for that!! :)P.S.: I'm sorry for the explosion I made in the microwave :(
Great stay with the friendliest staff! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, convenient and comfortable stay while visiting the beautiful city of Florence!
Absolutely Fantastic! By far the best hostel I have stayed at. Hosts Liborio & Lara treat you just like family. Only 10-15 walk to Florence's centre. Best Hostel; will defiantly go back.
Liked: Owner was really kind and helpful!!! He made map for each people who is staying there and it was quite useful!!! Also their's customers were good. I could meet very nice people! Didn't like: The street in front of Dany House was a little bit noisy, but it was not their fault.
I loved my two nights stay at Danyhouse! Laura and labborio were very nice and made guests feel at home. It was like staying at a friends house not a hostel. The wine party that happens every evening around 7pm is a great opportunity to meet other travelers staying at the hostel.
Dany House was freaking awesome. It was in a nice location within walking distance to the heart of historical Florence. Would definitely stay here again! :)
PLEASE NOTE: There is no dancing in this hostel. Overall okay, gets the job done.
The best hostel I have been to, with a great, friendly atmosphere, and staff who go the extra mile to make sure you have a nice time.
Very good place and staff!!!!!!! AAAA++++
