Nice vibe in the hostel, the photos dont do it justice. However, the kitchen was badly equipped and was never really clean. Also the dorms were cramped and the bed very small. Overall was a good stay but very basic

We stayed in a 5 person dorm and was incredibly cramped, with limited light and one small window. However the private rooms seemed nicer and more spacious. limited toilets and showers which was annoying. Kitchen was functional but lacked utensils and fridge space. The communal spaces were good for working/eating but wasnt much comfortable/chill out areas. Location was also a good 20 minute walk into the centre which became a bit tedious.
However, the outside spaces were pretty and peaceful.

Liked: Very clean Hostel. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice garden to relax. Twice a week they offer a great BBQ. Didn't like: A little walk to the centre, but okay.

Liked: Toller, ruhiger Innenhof Didn't like: Die Kche ist die schlecht ausgestatteteste die ich bis jetzt auf unserer 2 monatigen Reise erlebt habe.Die Matratze war vllig durchgelegen. Das Hostel ist relativ weit vom Zentrum entfernt.

Liked: Helpful staff, secure, nice clean rooms, clean bathrooms and great showers. Didn't like: Poorly equipped kitchen - no mugs and barely any glasses!! Short walk from the center - not that far but we didn't really feel safe in Salta, so we felt a bit uncomfortable. Wouldnt recommend to spend much time in Salta itself - pretty grungy place.

Liked: The best feature of this hostel is the garden with plenty of shade and a pair of tortoises wandering around. Our private en suite room was comfy and spacious enough. The people were helpful. Breakfast was served in the garden, medialunas, mermalada and cafe/te. Didn't like: The only downside was that the hostel is quite a distance from the Plaza 9 de Julio where most of the cafes and other shops are located.

Liked: Nice roomy courtyard area. Didn't like: Not all staff were particularly friendly. It's a bit far from downtown Salta. The barbecue didn't happen due to insufficient interest.

I have no problem giving full marks on the above criteria but note the following. I was informed by the official tourist office in Salta that there was a regular bus (every 20 mins No.8a)which stopped 5/6 blocks from Tucuman Street where the hostel is located. Having lost the details I asked the owner what the bus no. was and where exactly the bus stopped. She informed that there was no such bus and I must take a taxi. On the following morning I walked to the top of Tucuman Street (jnction with Av. Jujuy) in 7 minutes, waited 10 mins for the bus and was dropped at the airpotrt in less than 30 mins all for the sum of AR1.35 )approx 25 cents. Secondly trherev wre problems with the internet throughout my stay , particularly annoying ead the keyboard on which half the letters weere worn away and an attempt made to paint them back on.
