I loved to stay at hostel Paola! Number one reason was definitely the extremely friendly and helpful staff. Aura is just an amazing receptionist! Another BIG PLUS is the PERFECT LOCATION! Just three minutes from the station and from the Duomo. even during the night it's a very nice place to hang around, or to go out for a walk. Not unsafe or anything like that at all. The facilities in the hostel were also very nice and good enough for a comfortable stay. I slept there for a week in a four-dorm room and it's spacious, with a locker and a shower and sink, which were practical enough and hygienic. I recommend this very nice hostel highly! And I can assure you that with this staff, you will have a successful and memorable journey for sure!

Clean, good location, no breakfast or kitchen
The place is clean and well situated near the train station and the historic center, but the street is very noisy during the night. There's a shower in the room, if someone uses it, the air becomes wet, but there is only two other showers and one of them was out of order. The lockers are big. There is no breakfast and no kitchen, just a ridiculously small fridge and a microwave, and the common area is really small. The hostel is on the third floor.

Friendly, Safe, Convenient, and CLEAN
After our horrible stay at another Florentine hostel, this place was a paradise. We were provided keys for the street entrance, the hostel entrance, our room door, AND even a key for our individual locker (which was bureau sized with a shelf and hangers). Our beds were clean, the lockout time was only 10-1 which really isn't that bad and when they cleaned the place, they really did clean. All the staff were very friendly and even allowed us to store our luggage there for free after checking out before our train arrived. We had a wonderful experience there. Only oddity was that there was a shower (with frosted glass for privacy) and a sink in our room just out in the open, but it was no big deal.

It was ok, though the bathrooms are definitely small, and there are only two showers for the whole place. When we were there one was out of order with no sense that it was ever going to be fixed.

Loved my stay
I would HIGHLY recommend this place. Great location in Florence, great rooms with huge lockers, and wonderful staff that were very accommodating! I would highly recommend staying here if you're going to visit Florence. The only drawback was carrying my luggage up the stairs, but I only had to do it twice so no big deal.

Very nice but not much extra
Good location, 8 min walk from duomo and 2 min from train station. No breakfast, and not always hot water, but Wi-Fi was good. My friend and I checked into a 3 person room, and had no roommate all weekend, so we basically had a private room to ourselves.
Good location, good faclities
the staff are also very friendly & guided us the town environment.
This is an amazing find. I had no idea it was going to be this nice. It is right by the train station, so it's definitely convenient for the traveler. Clara, the owner, is passionate about her work. She is extremely friendly and energetic and is happy to point you in the right direction in Florence. The rooms are super modern and cheerful. You get two lockers to yourself in the room (but you already feel extremely safe). You are served breakfast (included) to your room and we're not talking the typical continental-hostel breakfast, you get scrambled eggs, yogurt and it's cooked by Clara. There is a common room and this hostel is small enough to feel like you can really meet new people. I have never felt motivated to write a review before, and I have stayed in plenty of hostels, but I really feel that whoever stays here will feel like they will never have a hostel experience as pleasant as this one ever again.
Liked: Really lovely, helpful staff. Also, my bf and I got upgraded, and ended up having a 3-bed dowm to ourselves. great :) Didn't like: It would be good to mop the bathrooms thoughout the day. Wifi did not work in our room (signal was too weak).
Liked: Very helpful staff. Very good location, close to train station and easily accessible. Clean and spacious rooms. Clean bathrooms. Didn't like: Nothing to dislike.
Liked: - Location- Wifi- The receptionist Mr. Dorman is extremly helpful and kind enough to point out all the iconic sigh seen in town. Didn't like: - No common room for traveller to know each other
Liked: very nice location near Santa Maria Novella station and other places in Firenze and friendly staff Didn't like: i lodged in 4 bed dorm and the shower booth is just inside the room without anything something like block....if someone is in the shower booth, everyone in the romm can see you're silhouette. and had to put on my clothes inside the booth.... because of it, i will never ever visit here again.
Liked: Everything, my stay was very comfortable Didn't like: It's on the 3rd floor, so if you're carrying a big bag or a bit tired the stairs are a nightmare
DON'T BE RESERVATION!!!!!!!
So Many Bed Bugs!!
There is bed bugs house!!
Liked: It was well located. Didn't like: The bethroon was small and the flor was usually wet.
Liked: Good location. Florence, is a place where walking is most convenient. And walking from this hostel to any tourist attraction is very easy. Kept very clean. A good and typical hostel. Didn't like: Nothing
Liked: Hotel made our beds for us every morning. Didn't like: Ensuite shower had no private doors. So everyone in the room could see a person showering Lockers were broken Common area was small and limited
I could never shower with hot water.
It was little bit dirty and there was no hot wtek info room. But generaly ok.
Very nice hostel but it is on the third floor and it gets really hot in the summer
Room is very clean.Washbasin and shower booth are provided in the room. Staffs were very friendly and gave useful info.
the only drawback is the hotel is located on 3rd floor w/o lift.
The location of the Hostel is great! We never used any bus or something. It's only 3-5 minutes to S.Maria Novella Train Station and also very closed to Duamo. The hostel is clean and safe. We were travelling with my sister and safety was the most important thing for us. It has no kitchen. In winter, it was a little bit cold because the heating system was not enough.I should also say that the girl, named Adriana is very helpful and nice. Have a nice holiday!
In function of price we have no big demands. So we are satisfied of our stay
during March 2013.
The only remark we have is that the central heating could not be put off (broken crane) so to put on the ventilator (celling) was the solution.
Is a very clean and comfy hostel.

What we did not like about this property was that the owner was not there during the day, and because of this she was not there to wait for people to check in therefore she would leave a note at the front door with the code to buzz themselves into the hostel and then the room keys were just left on the front desk so that anyone could enter the property freely.
Really good place to stay, near San Lorenzo markets and short walk from everything else. Clean, comfortable, and when I stayed there plenty of friendly travellers to socialise with
