Feel Good, Safe and Satisfied in a clean and quiet, organised artistic environment, in the centre of Budapest. Our hostel is located in the Budapest party area, surrounded by shops, restaurants, clubs, ruin bars and sights.
The newly renovated Friends Hostel & Apartments with its exclusive service and decoration welcomes You all, whether you are a solo or business traveller, a couple, a family, or a small group of friends.
Friends is clean and quiet design hostel with several accommodation options and artistic design in the centre of Budapest. Everything is reachable on foot.
FRIENDS HOSTEL offers 20+ rooms and 10+ apartments for total 80+ persons.
We have mainly private rooms for 1 to 5 people with shared facilities, but also ensuite rooms with own bathroom, plus 2 dormitories for only girls (6-8 pers). Our apartments: We also have apartments on the same floor as the hostel itself (next door), and separate apartments in neighbouring buildings in our area. The apartments can accommodate 2 to 10 persons, each of them is with bathroom and kitchen, most of them with living room and tv, wifi ect.
We only offer NON-SMOOKING rooms.
We have a huge TV with sat channels and X-Box360 to make your stay as fun as possible. We help you plan your best program, activity or party during your stay in Budapest.
Unlike in the huge hostels we intend to take care of every single traveller in case of any questions from program planning to any local assistance.

(regular car, no minibus) / parking on street is payable, free only on weekends full day and weekdays between 8pm and 8am/
* Laundry: (1 650 huf - 5 eur/ only wash, wash + dry: 3 300 huf -10 eur)
* Air conditioned rooms are available in a limited number: 10 EUR / Room Airconditioning / day (for advance request in email)
* Bookable programs, tours and activities as: Caving tours, Free walking tours, City Tours, Bicycle tours, Pub tours, Thermal baths, concerts, opera, boat etc.
* Luggage storage: free on check in day only before checking in, After checking out, you may leave your luggage in our luggage room. until 9 pm. Luggage storage fee is 2€ / booking.

The hostel actually is a big flat adapted for hostel purposes. As most of the time there's nobody at the reception, you feel quite at home.
The location of the hostel is really great and the rooms are big and bright. We didn't find the living room, but the kitchen was really fine.
A little drawback were the bathrooms, which are new but haven't been cleaned for at least 2 weeks when we arrived and weren't cleaned during our stay (4 days) neither.
We had reserved a double room, but got a room for 4 persons with 2 bunk beds. On request they pushed the beds together, but it still wasn't the same...
Anyway I still would recomend the hostel for the rooms, the location and the fact that you can come and leave when you want.

The staff were so helpful and friendly, there was a very home like atmosphere which made us feel very welcomed and very comfortable. Made good friends with one of the staff there who made our experience in Budapest much better as it helped us see what Budapest was really like!

Liked: Very clean, quiet, modern, practical kitchen, near the metro and the centre. Didn't like: The bathroom was quite small. Only 1 sink for all women, just next to the shower.

Liked: Clean, good interior design. Didn't like: We were in a private room and only dorm guests should pay for the towels, that was on the bord at the desk, but the girl, that had welcomed us asked us to pay.

Nice hostel located in a central part of the city.
I had a room to myself & in most part was comfortable & clean.
The only 2 things they have to improve on is create a more team/friendly atmosphere (everyone were into themselves and had no place to sit down and socialize); and staff were not very helpful (when you asked for questions/direction they just said go on internet & google the place)
overall I give it 7.5/10
the place is more suited for couple or older travelers who don't want to mingle to too much

Liked: Upon arrival we changed our mind and reqeusted for an apartment. Nice apartment we were given had bathroom with shower and bath. A huge living space with dining table and fully equipped kitchen we were surprised as it was only the two of us and you could sleep 6 in this apartment! Great value for money! The location was perfect everything on your doorstep! The girls in reception were lovely and so helpful and everyone we met in Budapest were friendly! Wonderful city so much to see and do! Would 100% stay here again!!! Didn't like: no

Staff very helpful and the room I had was clean and well appointed. The location was great, very handy for public transport and loads of restaurants and supermarket nearby. Would definitely stay here again. Some noise from outside but not bad considering central location.

Everything you need and more! clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff. Within walking distance to everything. Yes there is a bit of noise at night but what can you expect when all you have to do is walk out the door and you are in the centre of everything!Thank you very much also to the staff who managed to find and return my lost camera, I am very grateful!!

Liked: Helpful and nice staff. They were flexible and offered us to have a double room for a few nigths instead of the twinroom we had booked, which was nice since we're a couple.The kitchen was nice to use.Walking distance to central Pest and close to transportation if needed. Didn't like: We had no problems, but if the hostel is full and multiple groups wants to use the kitchen at the same time I can imagine that the small kitchen area would have been crowded.

the hostel was clean and the atmosphere was nice and cozy. the staff was nice and helpful. fully equipped kitchen, the only thing we didn't like was that there was only one shower for 10 or more people.

When I arrived I was very happy with my choice. It is quiet, clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms were big and beds were comfortable. It is in walk distance from center. If I will come back to budapest no When I will be once again in Budapest I will stay in Friends Hostel one more time.

From Ferihegy airport:- The easiest way is to use our transfer services (link a transfers oldalra) and take the airport minibus for 2 500 HUF/Pers (~9.5 EUR), or the taxi for 4 400 HUF / cab (max. 4 persons) (~18EUR) These directly take you to our address easily.
or:
- Get on the repter busz (airport bus) at the terminal and take off at the last stop (Kobánya Kispest). Take the blue line metro (M3) toward Úpest-központ and travel till Deák square (10th stop). Take the yellow metro (M1) toward Mexikoi ut and travel till Oktogon square (3rd stop)
Our hostel is app. 150 m. from here (see detailed map).
You will need 3 normal travel tickets, which cost 300 HUF each.
IF you land at Ferihegy 2 airport, you can easily come by the railway link to Nyugati station, from there you can walk or take the tram.
From Keleti railway station:
- Take the red line metro (M2) toward Deli pu. and travel till Blaha Lujza square (1st stop). We are 700 m from here, but you can also go 2 stop by tram no 4 or 6 (toward Moszkva square /both no 4 or 6/) and get out at Kiraly u. stop, we are ap. 30 m from here.
You will need 1 stage ticket/szakaszjegy in Hungarian/ to get to Blaha Lujza square (180 HUF) Even easier, if you take Trolley bus (red bus) no. 70 or 78, and travel a few stops till Akacfa street/Nagymezo street stop (st the church). We are 30 meters from here. You can also walk from Keleti to us, but this is cca. 1.5 kilometers (15-20 minutes walk)
From Nyugati railway station:
The easiest is to walk from here to us (10 minutes), or:
- Take the tram (no 4 or 6) toward Fehervari ut (no 4) or Moricz Zsigmond square (no 6) and get out at Kiraly u. (2nd stop).
You will need 1 stage ticket/szakaszjegy in Hungarian/ (250 HUF)
From Déli railway station:
- Take the red line metro toward Örs Vezer Tere and travel till Blaha Lujza square (6th stop). We are 700 m from here, but you can also go 2 stop by tram no 4 or 6 (toward Moszkva square /both no 4 or 6/) and get out at Kiraly u. stop, we are ap. 30 m from here.
You will need 1 normal travel ticket to get to Blaha Lujza square (300 HUF)
Népliget int. bus station:
- Take the blue line metro (M3) toward Úpest-központ and travel till Deák tere (4th stop). Then you can either walk (cca 9-10 minutes) or take the yellow metro (M1) toward Mexikoi ut and travel till Oktogon square (3rd stop). Our hostel is ap. 150 m. from here (see detailed map).
