Hotel Engelbertz is a family-run 40 room hotel, situated in the heart of Cologne with Cologne's Cathedral, Opera, Museums and shopping streets all within walking distance.
Our 40 rooms are all modern, comfortable and equipped with en-suite
bathroom, direct-dial telephone and satellite-TV. The hotel is equipped with wireless LAN in the reception area.
Hotel Engelbertz is ideally located near the main railway and bus stations, the famous old town, the Opera, several theatres, the Philharmonic Hall, Museums and Cologne's renowned shopping streets.

Liked: This is a great hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was good and the location of the hotel was five minutes from the main station. Would definitely stay again! Didn't like: Everything was great!

Liked: Exteremely convenient location, very clean, really friendly English-speaking staff and spacious for a single room. Breakfast was better than expected. There's TV, hairdryer, etc.. efficient enough for a short stay. Didn't like: Nothing really.

Liked: Although a two star hotel, Englebertz is very central, minutes from the cathedral, museums (including the Wallraf virtually across the road) and river. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms smart and clean. No fuss, no frills but by no means austere or spartan either - perfect for the traveller on a budget. Didn't like: There was nothing to dislike.

Liked: Very friendly and efficient staff. Our toilet flush was broken on arrival but fixed very quickly. Great location right between the shops and riverside restaurants and bars. Really great buffet breakfast too. Didn't like: If I'm being really picky the curtains were a bit small for the window so it wasn't really dark when they were closed. But this is being picky...

Hotel Engelbertz is reached easily by car from the autobahn intersection Heumar on the A3. At Heumar, change over onto the A4, direction Aachen. The first exit is the 'Kreuz Gremberg'. Turn off the autobahn in the direction 'Kln Deutz'. This will bring you directly into the heart of Cologne. After crossing the 'Deutzer Brcke' (the Deutz bridge), continue about 200 meters straight ahead and then turn right into the street called 'Groe Sandkaul' (see red dots on map). The Hotel is situated a further 150 meters straight ahead, on the corner of 'Obenmarspforten' and 'Groe Sandkaul'.Map
