We enjoyed Nelly's hospitality long time ago, before war, and we can not forget her since. She is the jewel of hospitality. We tell everyone about her!
We were very happy with our stay at the Kusalo Guesthouse. We had a comfy bed and a kitchen all to ourselves and a shared bathroom that was very modern and clean. The lady that runs the place is very kind and happy to give information, and free turkish coffee! The guesthouse is about a fifteen-minute walk to the old town, which if the weather is not too hot is a very easy walk. We recommend staying here.
Very good. We really enjoyed our week long stay, the guesthouse was in a wonderful location with friendly people. We were treated very well. There was easy access to the old town, beaches, and bus routes. Definitely recommended.
We had a really nice stay at Kusalo Guesthouse! Nella, the woman that runs the place, is a very friendly and helpful woman. It was a perfectly quiet and peaceful place to relax after a day at the beach or in the city.
Its a really cozy house with a lovley terasse. I really recomend other people to stay here if you are going to Dubrovnik.
We loved our stay here -- we wanted to stay longer!! It is a guesthouse attached to the back of a family home and you have free use of the kitchen and Internet, as well as your own bathroom. The family are really nice, always ready to chat and very friendly. You are greeted with cold drinks, towels and Turkish coffee in the mornings! There is no check-out time, providing the room is not needed the night you leave, and you can leave your luggage safely until you leave Dubrovnik. You can meet lots of other guests here. It is about a fifteen minute walk from the bus station and about twenty minutes to the old town and city beach. Great budget and friendly accommodation!
We have been here for four nights. It is a very good guesthouse with a kindly atmosphere and the family shows a great hospitality. By staying here, we experience a Croatian house by using some of the rooms in their house and having breakfast in their dining room together with the hostess. The rooms are clean and nice. It is a pleasent walk to the "Old city" -- about fifteen to twenty minutes. We can see the sea along the street to "Old City."
This is a functional and basic family run hostel, linked to the owner's house. It is clean, comfortable and very quiet. The owners are exceptionally friendly and I felt most welcome, something most appreciated when arriving in a new place by myself. It is a little tricky to find (a little further from the main bus station than I'd thought) but once you are here, it is reasonably easy to find your way to the old town (about a 15/20 minute walk) and other areas of Dubrovnik. I'd recommend this if you are coming to Dubrovnik on a budget and are looking for a quiet night's sleep!
I loved my stay at the Guesthouse! The family is so nice and accommodating, and they immediately offered me advice and told me the best beaches and islands to hit. It is a walk from "Old Town" but the walk is really pleasant and it goes along the water for a bit. Every morning I enjoyed Turkish coffee with the Kusalo family and chatted about travels and cultures. In all my travels, this house was the closest I came to really experiencing my host culture.
