Hotel Aline is a budget hotel located in the historical centre of Florence and managed from young people with pluriennal hotel experiences.
We are just 5 minutes walking from Santa Maria novella railway station and few steps from the " Capelle Medicee " , the market of san Lorenzo, "Accademy of Fine Arts", where the David of Michelangelo is and the most important monuments and museums such as the "Duomo", "Uffizi gallery", "Piazza della Signoria" and "Ponte Vecchio".
Although we are in the centre of Florence is a quite hotel and the rooms on back are facing inside gardens. All 7 rooms are very comfortable , spacious and bright some of them have a balcony and can accommodate one to three persons.
The rooms are equipped with private shower and wash hand basin. Two comfortable restrooms are located just outside the guestrooms.
On your arrival you will be welcomed heartily from Roberto or Sandra and you will be given the key of your room and that of the building.
The entrance time is not limited, so you can have access 24 hours.

Liked: Staff very friendly. When wifi wasnt working he rang Internet company to sort it and then gave us a croissant the next day for the issue! Didn't like: Wifi issues at start but it worked fine once sorted!

Liked: The owner was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was spacious. Didn't like: No air conditioning or fan so there is no air ventilation. When I opened the balcony door to let a little air in the room was over run with mosquitoes. So we slept in a muggy stuffy room. The room appears to just be run down, possible mould growing on the wall above the shower.

Liked: The person at the reception was very friendly and helpful. He provided us with all the information about the city and how to go around. Bathrooms were clean. Didn't like: No Aircondition. In the month of July it gets very hot in Florence and without the aircondition it was impossible to sleep. Also didnt feel safe here at night as the windows have no proper protection and the room was really tiny.

Liked: The front desk staff were always helpful and accomodating. If they didn't have the service or amenity we needed, they apologized and told us where to go. It was a quiet place, but comfortable. Didn't like: No air conditioning in the sleeping rooms, only in the hall during the day, but thankful for providing a fan. I don't think it looks much like the pictures, but still worked for our purposes.

Overall feeling is very good. Some minor negatives though: We got a double-bed room instead of 2 single beds. That was not a problem at all for us, but may have been for other travellers. The window did not tighten very well and heating was turned off, so there was a little bit cold at night (it was in November)

Otherwise it was a nice place with helpful staff.

Aline Hotel is the second best place i've stayed in Florence so far but considering the price I would say the best. The only problem is that they supposed to be in reburbishment of the interiors and some things were missing like curtains, locks for the doors malfunctioning, and power plugs..but in general I'd advice travelers to stay in this hotel.
