Some of our comfortable double rooms have their own kitchens with utensils, so you can choose between bed and breakfast or your own kitchen instead of our breakfast. In every case all our guestrooms have their own fridges and bathrooms that you don't have to share with other guests. There are ceiling fans, hot- and coldwater, mosquito nets and huge four poster beds in all rooms. You can relax on a sun bed at your veranda in front of your guestroom or you might find a pleasant place in our tropical garden. If you like you can try "african bodybuilding" at our special fitness place. We are happy to have international guests. Kenyans as well like to enjoy their holidays at our resort. Our Kenyan-German team is supported by our grey parrots (coming all the way from Hamburg) who like to make their jokes with you at the breakfast place, some brave watchdogs, house tigers and a couple of tortoises. For families or groups up to 6 people we have a separate family house which you can rent with 3 or alternative 2 bedrooms. There is a cool veranda and sun beds for the garden as well. If you travel with your own vehicle, there is a safe parking place in front of the house. Breakfast for our bed and breakfast guests will be served at our "open air" breakfast place upstairs. On request you can also take dinner at Marijani, or we do grilling for you in our court yard. You can reach our reception by phone at 042 23 32 510 or our Manager by mobile at 0735 25 82 63 or send us an email to marijaniholidayresort@googlemail.com .
There are kenyan and international restaurants of cheap or reasonable prices in the village. Nightlife takes place in the 2 clubs "Kalahari" and "Come Back Club" at the "main road", or you take a Tuck-Tuck to "Choma village" or "Timboni Inn". Friends meet for beers and billard in "Ujamaa Bar", darts at "Dante" and bingo at Bennys' "Jambo Restaurant". Others just relax on our open air front house veranda under the stars or reading their novels on their veranda in front of their rooms.
A highlight for scuba divers is the nearby Malindi-Watamu Marine National Reserve.
If you are not a diver at all, there are also glass bottom boat tours, picnic trips to the nearby mangrove Islands, snorkelling excursions, dolphin tours and local fishing trips. To make your trip an unforgettable, nice experience, our staffs are pleased to help you to find a trustful, well experienced captain. Watamu Beach is not only recommended during the day as for swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing or having a walk at the reef during low tide (we suggest to wearing plastic sandals for this). Romantic impressions you'll get if you go there in the early morning. Discover the surrounding by matatu, taxi, Tuck-Tuck, boat or bicycle. There is the interesting BioKen snake farm nearby. The famous Gede Ruins, some caves, a butterfly project and Arabuko-Sokoke-Forest are not far away. - Perhaps you like to learn some dancing steps of the Giriama? Watamu itself is presenting a colourful african lifestyle. There are not only goats and fish in the village, we do also have a modern supermarket with things of the civil lifestyle.
