Rebecca was amazing, she was so accommodating and personal! She was on top of arranging what our objectives there were and she was not afraid to enforce rules to keep the hostel performing at peak performance. The atmosphere of the hostel was almost like a family, sitting down for meals. I would strongly recommend the Tofino Travellers Guesthouse.
Not only is Tofino Travellers Guesthouse one of the more comfortable and affordable places to stay in Tofino, but it is also our pick and we wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Tofino Travellers Guesthouse is just like a home away from home. Located only a two-minute walk from the bus station, the supermarket, and the water, it is the perfect location for your stay in Tofino. Given that Tofino is only a small town, you will find that anything that you want to see or may need here in the town center will be within walking distance of this glorious hostel.
Rooms and Bathrooms
There are multiple rooms in the house, some of them private and some of them dormitory style. The dorms are large open and spacious, with two lower beds and two higher, loft-style beds in the top part of the room. The beds are super comfortable with good quality linen for an amazing nights sleep. The bathroom is really modern and newly renovated. There are two toilets and two showers for people to share in these areas and each of them are contained with a lock on the door.
There is a living room as you enter the side door of the house with comfortable couches and a coffee table for relaxing and hanging around. There is a bookshelf here with loads of books on all different topics that you might like to read up on during your leisure time. Outside, there is a table with log chairs where you can sit and relax or eat dinner, and a barbecue that you can use to cook your dinner.
The kitchen is large and spacious with every utensil and cooking appliance that you might need. There is also an abundance of free spices that you can use to make your cooking extra tasty. Waffles are served here in the mornings as a part of the free breakfast. The common spaces and kitchen have flyers and information scattered throughout with information on things to do in the area from both a touristy and a locals perspective. One of the things that makes this house super special are the amazing quotes that are painted on the walls and stuck on by guests with sticky notes. You can spend hours reading these inspirational quotes from travelers all around the world and it gives the house an incredibly special feel.
Nick, the owner of this hostel, is an amazing guy and is super helpful with anything that you may need during your stay here. It was a pleasure to meet and get to know him during the stay in the house and pick his brain on the things to do in the area. Make sure that you contact Nick and book well in advance for your stay as Tofino is an incredibly popular destination, as is this hostel. It is quite frequently booked out on arrival, so it pays to be organized here.
