STF Hostel Utö has a genuine archipelago atmosphere and is located in one of the yellow buildings in the Gruvbyn (mining village), which dates from the last century. The house has two and four-bed rooms with a shower and toilet along the corridor and a shared kitchen and lounge with a veranda. • Ferry boat• Ferry boats leave from Årsta havsbad all year round and, in the summer, also from Strömkajen in Stockholm city. If you have your own car and wish to take the boat from Årsta Brygga, take road 73 towards Nynäshamn and turn off at the exit Berga Örlogsskola, Årsta Havsbad". You will then see signs to Årsta Brygga. Parking is available at Årsta Brygga, costing about 25SEK/day. Payment by cash or certain petrol cards.
• It normally takes around 30 minutes from Stockholm to Årsta Brygga if there are no problems with traffic or on the roads. The boat trip takes roughly 35 minutes.
• Public transportation
• By public transport, you should take the commuter train to Västerhaninge and change there to bus 846 that goes to Årsta Brygga .
• You can find the boat timetable at Utö Rederi AB, www.utorederi.se. In the summer, there are also boats from Strömkajen via Saltsjöbaden. For information, call +46 8 679 58 30.
