Hotel Darcet Paris Reviews

Con artist

This is a con. We got ripped off by this horrible man who will steal everything he can from you.

I stayed here last year and quite enjoyed it. It's not in the heart of the city per se, but you're two steps from the Metro. I actually started walking one day and suddenly found myself approaching the Champs after about an hour. The room was comfy and clean, nice continental breakfast, the Italian restaurant (Restaurant Palatino) just down the way was a blast since the owners treated me like family. The area can be a little seedy, but I never felt unsafe. The staff was very nice too! And all this for about $45 CDN a night. Worth it if you want a nice, cozy place to stay on a small budget!

The staff were very nice, however the luggage storage is simply putting your luggage in the lobby. Nothing was taken but it's a little scary nevertheless. The rooms were quaint, but very adequate for the cost and very clean. There was a bit of construction going on at the time but that is understandable. The location however was great! It's a two-minute walk to a Metro stop, which means you can get to pretty much anywhere you want. There are ATMs, restaurants, and supermarkets within walking distance. A good hotel overall.

Staff are playing dirty games with you, if you have booked your room online with your credit card. At the very end of your stay you can be asked to pay some 100 euros more than you were promised in your online booking confirmation.

Miro, Germany

This place is a little inconvenient as it involves catching 2 trains to the main tourist areas and to the main train interchange. It is however close to lots of restaurants and a supermarket. The rooms are clean and fairly modern. The free breakfast is nothing special and the breakfast room is tiny which means that you have wait your turn.

Hotel Darcet Paris Reviews from the Web

It was a great experience staying in this hotel. We were surprised with the quality of service at the price they offered that time. Everything about the hotel is great-location (central), cleanliness (top-notch), staff (can't complain), amenities (everything in place). Overall, highly recommended.

Impressed. Good joint. Good price.

Good Location, cheap for Paris. Friendly staff, clean bed.

The Hotel is in a convenient location, close to the subway, with cheerful and helpful personnel. It provides all the basic necessities if you are looking for a place to stay overnight with a limited budget. Howere, some of the property needs renovation (but it might only be the room where we stayed).

The surrounding area

We had an issue with our stated check in time, because of trains, the man working the front desk called to make sure we were still coming, before he gave our room away. Then when we arrived he helped us with our bags as well as gave us a ton of helpful information for traveling around the city. The breakfast was pretty good too, really for how expensive Paris is you can't get much better!

I liked the very friendly staff, good French style breakfast und especially the location. It is only a few steps from the Paris Centre, Moulin Rouge, just next to the underground. In the evening there are lots of price friendly restaurants in the neighbourhood.

The staff was very helpful. Our room was beautiful and clean. The location was great- close to the metro and near everything but we were also able to keep our windows open and sleep. Flexible but still safe

I made a big mistake. Booked for 2 nights, arrived morning and was told that we can check in at 3pm., waited until then, was told that the room was in not good condition. was transfered to an indian operated hotel near by where 30% cheaper than booked. No lift, was assigned a room on the 5th floor. Stay away from Darcet hotel, your well earned holidays will be spoiled

The outside is nice.

There is a wonderfull park in the front of the Hotel.

It is near to metro and there are many buses stoping just at the other side of the street.

The Hotel is very close to the Metro station Place de Clichy. It is easy to get around the city traveling by Metro. Close to the Hotel is an alternative Bar where you can dip into the french subculture which is a very nice contrast to the sightseeing program. The Hotel is fine for a short Paris trip for a few days. If you want to stay longer I would choose a different Hotel. All in all this Hotel is perfect for a short City Tour of a few days and gives you the opportunity to see all the touristic sights. The location gives you the chance to experiance Paris besides those touristic places.

pretty good location!!! Nice English speaking staff. Provide me many useful information. Strongly recommend!

We booked a private room with WC/shower for 3 nights and never even got to sleep at the hotel.. the 1 night they sent us to the nearby Hotel Savoy which is the WORST hotel with disgusting moldmoisture broken rotten cigarette rooms. This ruined our first day completely. Without even knowing where we'd spend the other 2 nights we managed to fall asleep anyw.

The 2 remaining nights we were sent to Hotel Moncey were we finally got a nice room like we wanted. If we'd know all this we'd just stay at Moncey from the start. Darcet's staff is rude with a lot of bad excuses and if they now are renovating their rooms DONT OVERBOOK PEOPLE just to send them away?!

i LOVED the location. such a great part of town... the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly !!

We rent a private room for 2 days. Like everyone else in europe, the 1 night they send us to the hotel savai, this hotel just ruined our day. It is old, dirty, all break, just horrible. The 2 night we could go to darcet hotel, and it was ok, clean just fine (TV and heardry). The location worked for us, it is close to moulin rouge, and 15 or 20 bocks away from the arc.

free wifi, spacious rooms, breakfast comes with the room and relatively cheap

nice place, ideal for fews days in paris

The location was perfect--literally less than a 3 minute walk from the metro stop that has two lines. Also, I was glad to have my own room and bathroom with reliable internet. Breakfast was also nice.
