Relax on the beautiful beaches –- you can choose from busy and fun beaches (Patong and Kata Beach) to quiet and deserted ones (Naithon and Layan Beaches). The best way to reach these is by tuk-tuk, which is the cheapest option. Phuket has a lot of activities to offer like scuba diving, water sports, day tours (easily arranged in every tour agency -- you can try snorkeling, diving, exploring the city and other islands). A visit to Phuket town is well worth it, as also is a visit to the main Buddha temples. After a long day, there is nothing better than Thai massage to relax you a little bit (they are well known for it) or a good, typical Thai meal -– in Phuket, you will find a good variety of cafes and restaurants, Thai massages centers, and shops with typical art crafts.
